Amazing.
Young guy with a lot of natural scoring talent but until he starts to win games... you may as well be hyping up Reggie Millers sister Sheryl Miller game where she scored over 100 points in college or something.

Sad. But these are the only kicks you can get when you're a Suns fan/player, I guess.

Suns shut down all their vets for the rest of the season and are starting a unit with an average age of 21. They're tanking... might as well let Booker do his thing tbh

Isn't Chriss a very low Bbiq guy? Anyway, that's a decent core. Add Bender too.

Usually when a player explodes for many 10s of points, his team either loses or barely wins, including Kobe's 61.

Was it a meaningful 70? Hell no.

But who cares? We suck. But Booker scored 70 at 20 years of age on a top-10 defense.

That's at least sort cool. And, he did it with maybe the worst coach in the league. And with a bunch of college players as sidekicks.

70 on 40 shots at age 20. That's at least hope, no?

It's sad we've been reduced to this.

But Booker/Jackson, that's a bigtime wing combination for the next 6-7 years or so.

It's basically the narrative of today's NBA. Everyone's celebrating Westbrook averaging a triple double, but ignoring that they are 6th place in the west. INdividual statistics are more important than winning. When Kobe scored 60 in his last game and Utah basically allowed them to win, everyone wants to forget it was only their 15th win of the season. :lol

He doesn't win games. Your team wins games.

Semantics, I know, but you put him on the Suns and Booker on the Spurs and sure, 70 doesn't happen, unless you're talking about wins.

Booker wouldn't help the Spurs this year IMO. He's obviously a more talented player but his defense isn't up to par, his shooting is wildly inefficient and his TO rate is really, really poor. Basically, he's like you would expect a young talented player on a really really awful team with terrible habits.

Efficiency breeds efficiency. Give Booker the Spurs structure, methods, and surrounding talent, he'd be more efficient. See his college days.

Agree on his defense. But I also think Spurs system fixes much of that. He has world class agility times for footspeed, so his defensive ability laterally isn't a problem. I think it's mostly mentality. He simply doesn't have to put forth the effort on the Suns, and he knows it.

But the point of the post was to point out the obvious that one person isn't going to win a game. Not by scoring 7, and not by scoring 70.

Booker on the Spurs would be awesome. It would be like Simmons but with scoring talent.

But swapping Green for Booker definitely means the defense suffers (a LOT since Green is usually on the opponents best guy for Q1-3 this year, since Kawhi needs to be the entire offense the entire game)
