That said, we go 4-1 and somehow look unimpressive doing it.

With 10 games left, the Spurs can go 5-5 and guarantee home court against everyone except GSW, even in the Finals if they get there. They still have a shot at catching the Dubs for the best record, but I wouldn't count on Pop pushing for that (or for GWS dumping several games). So I honestly don't think Pop's top priority is going to be the W/L record in these last few games.

CLE is very beatable. So is UTA. And I don't think Pop will piss off another game against their likely first round opponent, and give them confidence. I wouldn't be disappointed with 3-2, even though I think they could beat any of them, on any given night.

4-1, losing to an MVP chasing OKC/Westbrook. The Spurs won't "DNP coaching decision" rest people, especially top stars because of Silver's memo. I know Pop typically doesn't give a shit about the league, but these are marquee games with playoff implications. The league is going to do everything to ramp up their product, especially at the end of March madness when most of the sports world is focusing on basketball.

Kawhi calls for a meeting with Peter Holt.
Expresses he is sick of the stand-n-veg offense and player favorites and Pop is demoted for the remainder of the season.
Allowed to sit on bench but has no say in decisions.

We go on to beat the Cavs 4-1 in the Finals.
Bertans goes 9-12 on treys and the offense resembles 2014s Beatiful Game. Kawhi is legit Finals MVP, altho media tried to award it to Wardell Curry.

Yeah, unfortunately this one is inevitably going to be the "enough is enough" game from the Cavaliers, who'd have had a "we owe them one" mentality anyway and given the circumstances, will play with max desperation/urgency for a regular season game. It's also on TNT, which means even were it the best of circumstances, the Spurs would labor to score and more than likely lose.

The Warriors, though they're back on track, figure to be nearly as desperate, just to ensure that the Spurs don't start believing that they can beat them in a series.

The Spurs will likely have the same attitude against the Thunder and if they lose back to back, would be highly likely to win no matter who it's against.

I'm going L-L-W-W-W.

The Spurs have one of the best foul differentials in the league (as usual) - maybe the best, I haven't checked in a bit. Something always happens in the playoffs, and they just forget how to play D without fouling a lot. :rolleyes

Harden and Westbrook are going to live at the FT line in the playoffs. The Dubs haven't drawn a lot of whistles, considering, but if Durant is healthy, he'll be a whistle magnet. We may need David Lee to put the ninja Death Touch on a couple of those guys in the postseason.

There is some butthurt here :lol
I didn't make a prediction in this particular thread.... (there are many, I thought I did) but I did predict a better than 61 win record in one of apalisoc's threads... even though that's risky bc Pop may soon start resting players... I never mind being taken to task, so long as credit is also given when it's due.

So I'm "cliffjumping", "self righteous" and "pessimistic" because I actually have an original opinion and am realistic? At least I've given good reason for my view, unlike you cliché, vanilla, blind faith types, who just want to cover your ass either way.
