I'd definitely take Manu back next year provided Tony is gone and the Spurs have a new lead guard.
more likely:
this is Manu's swang song and Tony is the bench dude next year... Spurs start someone else. Dijon makes that leap or they sign someone.

I
agree... he doesn't even fit in with the bench guys... but since they are all so cheap and some of their contracts are up this season they can remake the bench for him.
It would not be worth it probably but it's perfectly doable... save Gasol and Manu all of them are in cheap contracts and some are expiring.

It will never happen, but tony should be cut and his contract stretched out. Is it an ootion per cba?

In less than a week I have changed my mind. Id even be ok with bringing in derrick rose.

Not so sure after this season. I think the folly of PATFO's loyalty may even be apparent to PATFO after this season.

I agree. After this week, PATFO should recruit Rose despite his baggage and physical question marks.

What you say is the reality of how it most likely play out. The pg position needs more reinforcement though. I want to see a legit starter brought in who can get into the lane consistently and plays halfway decent defense. Dejounte needs to be coming off the bench next year.

Does everyone see in this game how Westbrooke's triple doubles are set up by the team. The same with harden. As soon as he coems down and kicks it to a teammate, they shoot it every time without even hesitating. this dude isn't playmaking. This shit is planned and bastardized as he's stat padding. Plus he's leaving his assignment open at times going for rebounds.

The thunder could be a borderline contender if westbrook put his stats aside and concetrated on winning.

If he can change his priority and not worry about a triple double average in the playoffs they could get out of the first round.

40 year old Manu closing over Danny.
Danny didn't have the shot tonight and he got chances and the shaktin a fool moments got him out.
Simmons, the aforementioned mistakes and just unreliability bc one doesn't know which Simmons came to play: the Juice or the dleague Juice.... he also didn't play in the second half.

One has to admire Manu. He really was their playmaker... and Pau was huge.

Kawhi is just not a playmaker and it has to be acknowledged by Pop... and get him some more help at the point, specially if manu retires, which we don't know.

Tony is done.

It's up to him. He still helps win games, it's up to him. I don't mind him back as much as I did to start the season. He is a game changer.. but at this point it's really about knowing when it's time. I don't want Manu to reach Tony-looking levels and then call it a day.

Gutsy come from behind victory. Green needs to get his shot dropping come playoffs. Same goes for Mills. As much as I like Manu putting up solid minutes tonight despite some scary passes he made I don't how much you can rely on that kind of consistency from him every game in the playoffs.

Manu, Mills, Green can provide consistency on court making plays Spurs would look solid. Right now I just don't know what to expect from those 3 players every night.

Aldridge played some solid D
Kawhi with a stronger 2nd half

Exciting game to watch tonight though.

Now for the Jazz to finish off the weekend

Pau and LMA made their FT's down the stretch. And that 3 by Pau was stone cold. If the Spurs just had to have a 3 down the stretch right now, there's no one on the roster I'd rather have shoot it.

Actually.. throughout the game Kawhi handled the double teams better and better. He was growing throughout the game and it surprised me. He calmed down and kept pushing himself. I liked what I saw. Now it's time for the teammates to be more consistent whenever he gets them the ball after being doubled.

and the reason behind both of those was coaching. The reason we choked away a 20 pt lead is because Popovich got cute with his bullshit lineups and reason we came back from 20 is that popovich didnt overcoach at the end of the 3rd. But he almost gave the game back to them at the start of the 4th
