Feels like a loss. I'm nowhere near as confident going into a series against Memphis as I was a month ago. They just find ways to stick around in games, and that can be extremely dangerous for a team like the Spurs that can make some bad decisions on the offensive end to compound an already limited offense.

dpg: "i will suck tony's dick no matter how he plays."
He didn't take anywhere near the shots of Kawhi and leads the team in assists. The shots he took late weren't bad shots IMO. Make or miss doesn't make a hero. It's the type of shots.
He went one-on-one. It's not like he got those looks off of the flow of the offense. He's a hero that has no business doing that considering how much he sucks.

Hey. Hey! You never acknowledged my bet. You want that action? 2-1 odds for you.
Not for $1000. Like I said earlier, the Grizz overall have been underwhelming but for whatever reason against the Spurs they look legit. Still think Spurs in 7 but I'm not as confident as I was at the beginning of March.

Spurs stat padding a regular season W like Westchuck stat padding a triple double. We won, but it didn't feel good beating the Grizz's scrubs with our top guns in OT.

Most 60-win seasons since San Antonio entered the NBA in 1976: 1. Lakers - 9 2. Celtics - 8 3. Spurs - 7 (win #60 tonight)

The Spurs now have 6 of the 31 total 60-win seasons in the NBA in the last 20 years. No other team has more than 3.

Damn, I'm still pissed at Parker for playing a huge role in blowing that lead. Absolutely no reason to force shots when up 7 with two mins to go.

Btb, I fucking hate the "TWO SHOTS!" shit the crowd is yelling out nowadays. I hadn't heard it until I went to a game this year. It's because of how the live announcer says it, so exaggerated. They are mocking him it seems and it's become a thing...definitely a new thing.

No, Manu's injury history makes it a big if.
He's been a pretty healthy guy, tbh...

I missed the game. Do non trolls believe Memphis lost in OT on purpose? Seems strange to work to get yourself in a position to win in OT and then lose on purpose.
They sat Gasol?

As I said. Spurs in 4 or 5.
Kawhi and Aldridge >>>>>> Conley and Marc Gasol
Pau Gasol = Zach Randolph
Minus Conley and Leonard, the Spurs perimeter players are better than the Grizzlies' perimeters. Patty Mills and Tony Parker alone are better. The Grizzlies give minutes to 2 of the worst backup point guards in the league like Andrew Harrison and Wade Baldwin. Nuff said.
Spurs are better on both offense and defense.
JaMychal and Brandon Wright > Dedmon and Lee
The Spurs are the better team and should easily win this series.

So, who plays tomorrow?
Forbes, Simmons, Anderson, Lee, Dedmon
Bertans, Anthony
Fuck, we are short of bodies. If only Murray was available Pop could make an 8 man rotation work. Now he will probably have to play one of Tony or Patty, maybe even both to not overcharge one with minutes.

Good to hear :lol I mean Gasol played 30 minutes... :lol Yeah I get you! Lots of people on both teams played a lot though. Yeah if you are tanking it's probably not smart to count on two killer shots for the other team to make it to OT. Watch the last minute of the regulation...pretty fun.

They did sit Gasol in OT, but Conley was out already with an eye injury. They play OKC tomorrow night at home and if they lose that they're locked in at the seventh seed.

Think only Manu, Kawhi, and LMA sit out tomorrow. Hell, if Manu's injury is nothing then he might play too.

not spinning his play late in the 4th? your mouth is writing checks your ass can't cash.

Parker and Mills aren't as good as you may think. Tony Allen and Troy Daniels can give them a lot of trouble, and if Selden somehow gets minutes he'll give both fits as well.

I would sit as many bodies as possible, tbh. An injury to Gasol, for example, would be pretty devastating right now. Same with Mills.

Other than Kawhi, LMA, Gasol, and Parker the minutes tonight for everyone weren't very high. Gasol could also use a bit more burn with the bench while Tony/Patty can split minutes since Murray is still out (if Murray is somehow back then Patty should sit).

Bill and Sean mentioned it during the game, but Fizzdale did say in response to being asked about potentially playing the Spurs again in the first round that "San Antonio, Golden State, and Houston are all monsters right now so its better to just stay where we're at and focus on playing their brand of basketball going into the postseason." Kinda sounds like they're tanking for the Spurs, but we'll see.

Depends on whether Nurkic comes back in time and completely healthy.
Does it?
I'd be surprised if the Warriors don't sweep them, Nurkic or not.

his game was never based on any athleticism ... so he is able to age well and the move to the bench (playing against second units) helped him as well ... he is a SMOY candidate IMO

He single-handedly kept them in the game until some of his teammates joined the party. In the 3rd-4th quarters he killed us - especially on the O-boards. It was not all done against the second unit, either.

The first 2 rounds of the playoffs should be 5 game series. Having to win 4 games in the 1st and 2nd rounds is retarded, not to mention series that drag out.
Yeah...I'm tired of the best out of 7. I know they'll never do it but they really should alternate locations each game. If they cut the first round to 5 games, they could at least do that.

"his game was never based on any athleticism"
being an excellent mid-range shooter, and a tough rebounder with solid hands require athleticism. He's not a Ray Allen graceful type, but he's plenty athletic.
