Man, crazy how time flies. We are 4 yrs away from celebrating the leagues 75th Anniversary.

It's an arduous task but a fun exercise and a good fodder for discussion. IMO these 15 are unanimous.

Kobe

Artis Gilmore
Stephen Curry
Dennis Rodman
Steve Nash

Which means the rest of them will be fighting for the remaining 10 spots.

Paul Pierce

The new list of greatest NBA players.

First off, a few should be taken off the list. Bill Walton should lobby himself to get off, he said it was ridiculous he was on the 50-at-50. And I love him and am biased but no way should Yao get on the list. Maybe if he had a few more good seasons and playoff runs but it's a great what if. T-Mac should be in over Yao.

I'm almost against active players being on the list, how embarrassed would the NBA have been if Shaq didn't pan out? LeBron is okay since he should be wrapping up a marvelous career by 2021 but no one with 10 years or less should be on it.

And how the hell is Kobe not a lock in the OP? He may be the single biggest lock next to LeBron. Reggie Miller is a lock by the way.

I really, really don't think DJ, Iverson, Gimore, Rodman, and Yao are even close to being "unanimous" additions, especially over players like Wade (who is a unanimous one), Durant, CP3, McGrady, Carter, Jason Kidd, and even Carmello...

If we are just adding players:

Nique
Duncan
Bron
Garnett
Dirk
Kobe
Wade
Iverson
Allen
Nash
Mvpau
Payton
CP3
Durant
Curry
Mourning
Carter
TMac
Kidd
Webber
Pierce Miller
Billups
Ming
Melo
Richmond

The others are just too young (Westbrook, harden) to say now. Four years down the road and they play like they've played this year and they are sure ins.

Rodman and kemp got too much baggage.

Westbrook will be 29 in November and Harden will be 29 by the end of season next year. They're not young.

Westbrook and Harden >> Carter and Richmond

Carter got underrated over the years. At his peak he was on the level of a Westbrook or hardon. The rock never the press but he was one of the best scoring guards int he league with solid defense back in the day. Not as good as Westbrook or harden but he was awesome.

Career wise, Westbrook Lok all and hardens got about 3 impressive years on their resumes so far. They are in the top five t right now strictly based on expectations and projections.
