His weight is what makes him so unique, being able to push bigger bodys around or block the bigs out when needed, his superior IQ is what makes him so special...Spurs miss him aswell I bet

Not supremely, but excellent BBIQ and floor vision, above avg shooter, good footwork. Really too bad he put on so much weight after entering NBA as slender PG.

I miss him too tbh. Ultimate switch flipper. He was this Spurs generation's Big Shot Bob. I'm gonna pour one out in his absensce

We'd really be missing him if it wasn't for David Lee. He has really filled the voids in passing, rebounding, IQ, etc that Diaw took with him. About the only thing he doesn't do is 3pt shot.

Diaw, at his best, was an incredible badass - a walking mismatch. The '14 Championship wouldn't have happened without him. A lot of people here don't appreciate that during the Finals that year, he led the team in AST's. Of COURSE Pop misses that Boris Diaw.

I don't think Pop misses the Boris Diaw we saw last season. I sure as hell don't.

Gasol's shooting and passing plus David Lee's intangibles equals Diaw's brilliance.

In effect, we have two Diaws.

They shall surprise.

Diaw was painful to watch last season, I'm so glad I don't have to watch him pass up open 3's anymore tbh

You mean the pump fake on Casper, dribble drive halfway pass back out? I don't miss it.

Absolutely.

Boris also is an interesting person off-the-court. As Spurs have a ton of team dinners I'm sure Pop misses that side of him too (which is what the article alludes too, i think)

Agreed. One of the most talented players the Spurs ever rostered. He could do everything but keep his interest and motivation going.
