View Full Version : What Does Deadman Do, TBH?

Besides stroke Poop's liberal affirmative action agenda by allowing him to have a coal black starting lineup, tbh?
Deadman is trash and is an embarrassment to the starting lineup. He is the worst big in the rotation and probably shouldn't be in the rotation at all, tbh.

I'm still rooting for him because Gasol coming off the bench is a huge weapon to have. All the Spurs need is for Deadman to just keep pace until Pau checks in.

Take up minutes. He'll be better against a team like Houston. He can't handle Gasol.

His specialty is defense. If he can't handle Gasol, he's useless.
Not sure how Houston will be a better matchup, as well.... he's a foul machine going up against the #1 foul drawing team, and his "defense" will be wasted on Capela.

Sorry, I must have missed his defending while getting torched by Gasol tbh.
He eats up minutes so that Pau can wait to come in and lead the second unit.
In baseball terms, he's an "innings eater" -- a starting pitcher who can go for a while and allow your studs to rest.
Plus, he sets the defensive tone at the rim for the whole game.

Pau starting at this point in his career is a bad idea.

With Pau playing so great off the bench, if it ever comes to taking Dedmond off the starting lineup, I'd rather put lee or Bertans in just to not ruin Paus groove. But I'm cheering for Dedmond to get it going

It's his mobility on defense that helps. Gasol uses size and strength to score. Dedmon doesn't have the strength. But vs Houston, he'll be better at guarding the pick n roll. Hardin is a master of the pick and roll, and Pau won't be much help on defense. But Dedmon's mobility will help. Remember it's about team defense, not individual man to man defense.

I hope you're right.
This year against Houston he had 3 points and 8 rebounds TOTAL in 4 games.
Some ugly games too where Pop yanked him ASAP:
-12 in 9 minutes
-10 in 4 minutes

That's about all he is. He's got zero skills, which you can get away with in the NBA being a big man if you can jump high. Deadman didn't start playing basketball til like 19, so it's understandable.
Bartolo is still a better athlete than Deadman, though. Skills are a part of being a sportsman, the most important part.

The Deadman didn't start playing basketball til 18, averaged a huge 7 points and 7 boards at a small High Desert high school and STILL made the NBA because he's tall and can jump.

This excuse. You love football. You're an American/Texan no matter how hard you try to be an "enlightened" European. If it was just about "Alma Mater" you'd follow Baylor in shit like Lacross and Field Hockey, which I doubt you do.
What's with the handegg name? Oh, you think "football" was soccer's name first, do you? I got a few minutes. We can bust yet another Eurotard myth (preview: "eggball" games actually deserve to be called football more than soccer).

Nope. Still under the 14%. Athletes.
If I get a 69% but 70% is the passing grade, a teacher isn't just going to "round me up" to a 70%.
And lol at that as a reference. Means your boy from Baylor qualifies as obese. :lol
