News
Timberwolves forward Wally Szczerbiak stepped on a defenders ankle late in Wednesday's preseason game and was forced to leave with what is being called a right midfoot sprain. "It was a weird one—I'm surprised the ankle didn't roll," Szczerbiak told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The 28-year old forward was wearing a removable cast after the game and will have an X-ray today.

Wally has missed his fair share of games during his six-year career, including 53 games in 2003-04 because of plantar fasciitis. Given the restructured Wolves roster, he is slated for a more significant role this season, which could make him worthwhile in fantasy leagues. We'll be sure to keep an eye on how the situation develops, but for now he should be considered day-to-day.
