Hornets forward Rasual Butler, acquired by the team in the mega-trade that brought Antoine Walker to the Heat, is pushing for a starting role with the team. Bostjan Nachbar has the early lead for the starting small forward spot simply because he's more familiar with the offense, but Butler's athleticism is making it more of a competition for the job. "We've just got to push each other," Nachbar told the Oklahoman. "Basketball is a competitive sport, but at the same time, we realize that we're on the same team. He's been playing really good the past couple of practices. I hope he can say the same thing about me."

Butler's slashing style definitely has more upside, at least in terms of numbers that translate to potential value in fantasy leagues. Neither player is going to be asked to contribute significantly with J.R. Smith, Chris Paul, and Jamaal Magloire already on the roster. Keep Butler on your radar, but don't reserve a roster spot for him just yet.
