I don't have a problem with Mills, but Lee was a bad call from Pop.

Nothing Lee does Pau Can't. In addition, Pau is a tall guy that by just virtue being there provides the team with better rim Protection.

Lee was getting murdered out there.

Why the fuck wasn't Gasol playing!!! 11 rebounds in 21 minutes, lee and LA 7 rebounds in 73 minutes !!!

I can't blame Pop too much. Green and Manu were bums out there tonight. Patty was just 90% bum, so he got the call.

Completely inexplicable, that a team that labors offensively, would go down the stretch of an important game with their 2nd best offensive player on the bench and do so in favor of a player who, as you said, provides nothing he can't.

I don't give a shit about his lead footed defense. They're not good enough to have that luxury, Lee has the same issue and none of them could contain Conley in pick-and-roll anyway.

Atrocious coaching.

:lmao At mocking those who picked this to go beyond 5 and said it wouldn't be easy.

Keepin' it real

Pop didn't care for Pau's whining and body language after missing some defensive assignments. So, off to the bench he went ...

Not to mention he had five offensive boards. :lol

But like the poster above me said, I don't think Pop cares for Pau's missed assignments against his brother.

What, has Pop not seen Pau play for the last 26 years or however long he's been in the league? Did he think Pau would change in SA? If so, what precedent is Pop using to think that, Diaw?

You look at Pau, David Lee and LMA. Three guys totally ok with losing. They've always been ok with losing. Pau won in LA because he was in LA, but he's always been ok with losing. You're not going to make a Manu mentality out of a Carmelo mentality.

Ah, so another teaching moment in an important playoff game, this time for a 36 year old vet. Yet Manu continues to get pt.

Was shocked to see Lee finish instead of Gasol. Would of been the ideal matchup length-wise against his bro & zack.

Pop is missing key subs.

Pau was garbage tonight tbh

And when Paus bad, he's really bad.

Almost Jeff Ayres bad.

There was a play very late where Pau on offense stood in the short corner and didn't even try to run back on defense when possession changed, right across from Pop. That might have been a factor.

Wow I had forgotten that.
I am starting to believe... no Tim no championship... of course fans knew this but I believe Pop would do better (then you remember he's benched Tim for a rebound in 2013 with a championship on the line.)

Pau deserved the benching and might need to GTFO of the team if he's going to be be like this the rest of the way... but Davis was much better.

Still I thought the undersized duo of Tony and Patty together was a worse choice.

Mills has been probably the worst defender on the team this playoffs. He's been truly awful. TP has not been amazing, but not bad at all. Normally Pop has Manu in there with Mills, but unfortunatley TP is playing damn good while Manu is awful so it's TP/Mills.

The honest truth is, Mills is the heart and soul of this team.

Unfortunately, he's too small to guard anyone and he's too small to get a shot off agains anyone bigger than 6'3".

That's a fact and the Spurs are paying for having an undersized player.

Heart and soul will probably be in a different team next season....
