View Full Version : Would the Clippers trade Griffin for LMA?

Clippers are surely out of patience, injuries or not and will be motivated to blow it up. Paul is out of contract and will get the max. They would be getting tired of Griffin being chronically injured, as well as Paul needing the ball in his hands all the time which essentially wastes a lot of Griffin's talent. If Aldridge has another decent playoff run, his stock will be relatively high but we aren't going to get it done with 2 iso scorers (particularly one who isn't a great passer) against Warriors and Griffin would be a gamble worth taking.

I'd ask why we'd downgrade to that soft lazy fatass LMA, but then I realized Doc would be idiotic enough to do it.

They aren't stupid.considering Doc is their GM and he keeps giving contracts to garbage players like Crawford, it's not unthinkable tbh

The team still has uses for LMA - his defense. And i'll take a healthy jump shooting LMA vs an injured Griffin

Griffin is an amazing athlete that plays basketball. Sadly at 28, he gets injured every year. Once he turns 30 and loses that athleticism, I see a rapid decline. LMA's contract is up soon so they can either sign for less or let him walk.

We would have to trade a first rd pick and are assets overseas to get him . Nothing off the current team

Griffiths shows up in the playoffs at least for a few games

Lamarsha is a complete waste of space for the money he is getting

As much as I would want to see LMA moved, Griffin is way too fragile to replace him.

Well I was drunk when I made the thread and didn't realise Griffin was a FA as well :lol, but I'm surprised many people wouldn't take the risk of trading him otherwise. Griffin is the most complete offensive bigman in the league and unless something dramatic happens injury wise, the Warriors look unstoppable for another few seasons, therefore risks would need to be taken, even with someone as injury prone as him. Any other era of NBA history I'd be happy with who we've got and we'd be as good a chance as anyone to win it all, but the Warriors top 4 players are ridiculous and just perfectly suited to this era, with their combination of shooting and defensive versatility.

Since Blake Griffin is a porcelain doll and the Spurs are not in the business of collecting porcelain dolls, no, the Spurs will not be looking to buy Blake Griffin.
