View Full Version : Anyone notice the intensity in Dedmon's eyes?

When he got inserted in the 2nd half he looked like a man possessed. He played decent for him while he was in, but it was nice to see that, bc at the time LaMarucs and Gasol were being pushed around and passive.

Loved it, sincerely believe it was a game changer (attitude wise especially). Very disappointed when Crater took him out.

Yes. The team needed that fire to counter the crowd's bullshit. Shame on Pop for wanting to change that. Dude had a hard time finding the right buttons to push all series long.

i actually think dedmon punked Gasol into having a bad game the rest of the way...before that, gasol was the one punking our bigs

Oh hell yeah! He was fierce. Loved the rebound and put back he had!

Completely different player coming off the bench, starting lineup's slow play style doesn't suit him at all. We're gonna need that energy against Nene who's been Houston 2nd best player

Lol. Yeah...that one time when the camera had a close in on him for 5 or 6 seconds. He looked nuts. But if that's a byproduct of his energy, so be it.

There was a play where Paddy was blown by Conley & fouled him, while Dedmon was lurking & ready to block any junk if attempted by the Grizz skipper. I was pissed then, 2 cheap FTs out of a non shooting foul in a bonus situation.

Can't replace his energy. He's also the only one we have that can guard bigs like gaysol and Randolph.

Agreed. I was disappointed in Pops coaching. He was bailed out by MVP Kawhi and MVParjer, who played like its 2013, and one wonders how long he can sustain that. Anyways, let's not forget Pop threw a playoff game.
Glad for the team they advanced but Pop wasn't stellar with game adjustments.

Meh, Dedmon wants to get paid in the offseason. He'll need to play well against Houston and GS before he convinces me of anything.

I saw the fire in his eyes. I also saw the great big holes in his game for the whole series. Hell, for the last part of the regular season.

His numbers are a little better than they have been in previous years, and I have hope that he can be one of those big men who take 5-6 years to really develop. He averaged 4 rebounds in just under 9 minutes, which is actually pretty damn good. But he had 2 FG's for that entire series.

I like his intensity - just like I like Bertans' intensity. It sure looks like Pop prefers robots.

I hope Pop puts Dedmon on Capela, I think he's the only one who can defend those lob passes from Harden.

Poor guy isn't permitted to make mistakes, for obvious reasons, tbh:lol

Meanwhile, Gasol can look like absolute trash for virtually the entire Grizzlies series(which is alarming, since Memphis was by far Pau's best potential matchup in the playoffs) and will probably get a free pass for career achievements(and other obvious reasons)..

Agreed. Pop obviously does have a double standard that favors veterans.
Alarming how bad Gasol is looking out there by the way... probably worse than Manu (he made a few more baskets than Manu bc Manu was all time bad I think, but he looked worse) But we could point out this double standard with more than just Dedmon as you know.

I feel bad for the guy. Actually feel bad for the Young guys in general.

I feel like Murray, Bertans and Dedman all deserve some burn. They've shown certain skills and abilities that make them valuable plus these guys have shown the will and fight. The intensity.

Every Game Bertans, Murray has played has been filled with enthusiasm.

We need more intensity like that. The best Spurs teams had at least one or two guys with a little edge (SJax, Bowen, Horry). It can't be pure Eurosoft.
