Blowout loss... national embarrassment.... Pop laughing on the sideline while losing by 36.

Nah, I've already experienced like 3 lifetimes worth of winning with this franchise. It's disappointing though.

Nah it's pretty easy to hate on this year's Spurs team. They don't deserve shit. And the writing was on the wall all season that this team was gonna get exposed in the playoffs.

As Spurs fans, nothing should faze us anymore at this point. We've been through some of the worst losses imaginable, and at the same time we have the wins to make up for it.

Nothing will ever compare to 2013. I don't think it's possible to even come close.

The '01 Sweep by the Lakers was the most traumatic experience I have had as a spurs fan when it comes to lopsided defeats. Even if the Spurs lose this series it still won't compare. More was at stake in that WCF series then this.

I mean the fact that we let d league scrubs like Harrison, Daniels and Sedan go off last round should have been a warning when we face actual real NBA talents that Houston has.

The past 2 seasons have been especially irrelevant, since the Warriors are in a different universe than the rest of the West..

2013 Game 6 followed by the whole 2014 postseason run ruined me for Spurs games. I honestly cant even get that upset anymore because I will never be that low again as I was in 2013. And I will never be that high again as I was at the championship game 5 in 2014.

Then pop needs to retire.

Remember when Lakers got eliminated/humiliated by the Grizz? And Jackson annunced his retirement after the series?

Pop lost his fire. Spurs need a young coach who really cares about winning like Celtics' coach...That type of guy.

Pretty much this. Whatever else the Spurs do on a positive note, I take. They play like embarrassing pieces of shit like today? Meh, whatever. Throw away the tape. Besides everything is a mere formality. We all know who will represent the West in the finals.

Yeah that series was the worst for me. Spurs got dominated from start to finish in that series. Plus the Kobe-Shaq Lakers were the team I hated the most all time. Which made that series more painful to take.

Losses sting less too when you know Timmy isn't in there giving his all only for the team to let him down. It's easier to swallow a loss when you see guys like Aldridge getting stripped by Ryan Anderson, and Gasol just being virtually useless.

Pretty much this. I felt Duncan was a once in lifetime player and that the Spurs had to maximize their chances to win with him so whenever they lost it was very painful. Tonight's loss doesn't hurt it just infuriates me to see the lack of effort from Aldridge. He played with no spine in this game.

Of course it stings. A blowout loss like this in the playoffs is proof that A this is a matchup nightmare for this team like the 09? Suns were when they swept us with old Nash, and Drgic. And B a blowout like this just shows the entire team was unprepared. Even the 76ers would have fought harder and smarter. Its a pathetic finale to the Pop/Ginobili era.

It stings eventhou I been saying this team is a 2nd round exit team since december

Cant even imagine how much it stings to the homers out here who said Spurs woukd destroy the Rockets :lmao

They even created a lol clitchfans meltdown thread :lmao

It must sting those poor folks immensely cant even imagine the sting :lol

This times 100.

Seeing Duncan lose was painful every time because i know how good he was and that the team should be doing better than that.

This team exceeded expectations tbh, at least regular season expectations.

For me personally, it doesn't sting because we were down by 30 by halftime and i just couldnt watch it anymore. It was too ugly. So Its just like oh well, move on to the next game.

But what i didn't like was that its one thing to give up a lot of 3's its another to just look dismal on offense, making Pringles defensive team look like world beaters. That bothered me more than anything.

Assuming Durant & Curry Re-Sign, what do you do? With those 2 plus Green there's no chance for anyone else to win unless you have 3 freak things go wrong like last year. So what do you do? Let them 3peat until Green's contract runs out and develop players like Murray & trade Aldridge and see what we can get? Seems like a waste of Kawhi's prime, but seriously those 3 make GS an unstoppable scoring force and a defensive force as well. And that's without Thompson. Or do you try and win now - go after Paul, resign Dedmon as his PnR partner and try and flip Aldridge for a stretch 4/backup wing, assuming Mills walks, Manu retires & Gasol/Parker's contracts are off the books after next season.
