Yes, we got beat down. Badly. Anally raped with no lube.
Everybody except Kawhi played like shit and even Leonard wasn't special (which we need him to be).

But this shit is far from over. We're down 1-0. So what? All it takes is one win in Houston and we're fine.

Show some pride like I know our guys will do in G2.

Spurs in six. Fuck the Rockets.

Everything will be fine. CIA Pop has them where he wants them. Kawhi is surrounded by young and spry players. Spurs crowd is great.

We can win this series if Popovich wakes up, tbh.

True. Let's hope this embarrassment sparked something in Pop.

I agree, but man. We trailed by 40 at one point. A franchise record for halftime deficit was set tonight. So that means we've never been in a worse situation than this. :lol

Of course critizism is allowed. Pop going with Lee in his S5 was a terrible decision. His in game mangement, imo, was bad as well.
And as I said in the OP, imo everybody played like shit.

Still no reason to panic/give up yet. Act like somebody.

He got Houston's confidence up and the team thinking why Aldridge is paid too much :lol

This shit is over, as you said the spurs got anally raped with no lube. I'd be stoked if the Spurs can avoid getting swept tbh. Thats really what the topic of conversation should be about - what adjustments can the Spurs make to possibly win a game

Thats the most lopsided game I've seen in quite some time, and its not even about the margin of victory. Just mismatches all over the court, i have no idea how the Spurs can stop this Rockets team plus as we've seen all season the Spurs offense is just too easy to defend, not explosive enough. The Rockets have some good defenders on their starting lineup and off the bench. Ariza, Beverley, Capela etc...

This series is a wrap

Man, i dont even know how Spurs fans can get mad at that game. It was just sad to watch tbh

Aldridge, Gasol, basically everyone just running around like chicken with their heads cut off, Rockets just ran circles on em

Spurs survived some epic beatdowns from prime Shaq Lakers in 2001/2002 only to take them out in 2003. The nature of sports, things change.

exactly this. Drama queens? Realists, for sure.

i don't remember ever seeing Spurs handled like that in postseason. No coincidence it's our first chance against a semi contender squad without him in playoffs.

And no they're not contenders. Watch what GS does with them.

That game was embarrassing. At home none the less. People can be drama queens all they want. We have to see this team show up in game 2. Easier said than done.

Home teams that lost Game 1 by 25+ points are 0-3 in the series. Spurs don't wake up ASAP this shit is over.

This easily could be a sweep. Actually id give it 90% chance its a sweep or a 5 game loss

Could rockets choke? Sure but its highl unlikely almost impossible. They just got to keep running and chucking 3s and they got this in the bag

The Spurs onthe other hand have to basically transform to a totally different team to have a shot

I'm assuming this is how OKC felt last year after game one in the semis. We looked like we could sweep them, but we didn't.

Lets just hope that the Spurs care enough about turning this series around.

This. I'm actually glad I didn't watch.

Series is over. Tony burned his vintage energy with MEM.
LaMarcus needs 4 games of being bullied to wake up and can't handle double teams.
Kawhi has Kobe-ish numbers.
Pau will trip on his own feet.

I thought refs would win this one, but that won't be necessary.

At one point, I was actually starting to wonder if the Spurs might have a scoreless third quarter. I'm pretty sure nobody has ever had a zero point quarter - especially in the playoffs. So all the people who like records would be happy.

Everything you said is right, but Aldridge playing as bad as he was was unexpected even for those who doubt him.
The Spurs can still win this for sure, but they need to start clicking on all cylinders at once and for all.

Being down 3-0 to the Suns (or heck, being down 3-1 to the Warriors as the Cavs were) is far worse than being down 1-0. Heck, different sport but the Rangers are down 2-0 right now after outplaying Ottawa two straight game because someone shot the puck off the back of Lundquist's helmet and in the next game gave up two goals in the dying minutes. 2-0 is a hell of a bigger hole to climb out of than 1-0, even if I felt more confidence in the 0-2 team's performance than the 0-1 team.

Series odds probably flipped from 70-30 to 30-70 last night in Vegas. While I'd still take the Rockets at those odds, this isn't 99% certainty as some are making it out to be.

I'm glad one game is one game, because good god that was a shit-show.

I typically will NEVER turn off a playoff game early...but I could only endure 3 quarters of that shit last night. Thank god Better Call Saul was on.

Home court advantage is lost, but otherwise...just one in the L column. Just remember that we basically did the same thing to OKC last season and still ended up losing that series, so anything is possible.

On to the next one!

I remember when we were getting our asses handed to us by OKC in 2014, CoJo slammed dunk on Ibaka and we went on to win the series and championship! No way this is over by a long shot! Dedmon & Simmons, especially Dedmon not backing down from those arrogant jackasses may be the catalyst to wake this team up! Let's Go Spurs! Spurs in 6! Let's take these bitches out! Go Spurs Go!

There have been worse losses (stakes were higher). Get the W on Wednesday, a split in Houston and it's a new series. Bada-bing

But motherfucker they looked like shit. I've never left a game early in my life but I considered it last night.

We've been in worse series situations, but never a worse single-game situation. Unless this game was a total anomaly, it doesn't bode well.
