View Full Version : Time for Kawhi to take it to another level...

ElNono

tbh, expecting anything from LMA is a lost cause at this point... with Tony out, we're going to be even more Kawhi dependent, and he's going to have to go Lebron-2016-on-the-Dubs level...

I wouldn't put it past him, tbh, this guy can't seem to have a ceiling...

Kawhi isn't a point forward so there's zero chance of that. Murray better grow up in a hurry or it's going to be a lot of post ups and ISO's.

another level? he's basically at Lebron level. Even 2016 Lebron had Kyrie a bonafide all star.

I don't think another level is possible.

even Jordan had Pippen. It's stupid to ask more of Kawhi. He needs help and our current roster is just not doable. This summer Pop and RC better work something out or Kawhi should bolt

Leonard is not a playmaker. He's does everything else well but he doesn't make other players better on team. Without Parker we need someone else to step up. I don't if we have anyone else that can do it.

Dont undertand the logic in this thread? Kawhi is already kicking the corner kicks and scoring the goals. What could he possibly do? Turn into Steve Nash as well?

The thread should be "everyone besides Kawhi, time to take it to another level"

Any press is good press.

Westbrook was the Clown of OKC during the BETA era desipte outplaying the beta in the last two playoffs they played together.

Good or Bad, his name needs to be out there to generate conversations.

He's not going to shoot 13-16 every game:lol he doesn't need to elevate his game to beat the Rockets, though, his normal level is sufficient..

There's literally nothing he could do vs. the Warriors, though..

Isn't Bertans a "tough" guy.

Can't we play him to Punk one of the Warriors guys..

Maybe get Draymond suspended or injure Curry's weak ankles.

there are guys who don't have another level to get too, unfortunately. It happens when you load up on a lot of over the hill players...
Pop will have to play the guys with more upside more minutes... we shall see. I am not holding my breath.

He's been other worldly so far but I actually agree with OP, he has it in him to do more especially playmaking wise. He'll have the ball in his hands more than ever before. Let him get his LeBron on and average 8-9 APG. Yeah, I know that's his career high in assists but again his usage will probably be super high.

Highest TS% with at least 70 FGA in a single playoffs:

2012 Stephen Jackson 74.7%
2017 Kawhi 72.6%

How do you expect him to step it up more?

He wasn't even that great in the 1st half offensively, but really recovered in the 2nd half and buried the Rockets at the end with a timely 3...

His prime phase barring injury will last from 26 to 34.... with peak 27 to 30.

His game is going to age so well... based around his mid game and shooting, offensive intellligence... and his defense will survive even after loosing a step because of his build and instincts.

He's only going to get better at playmaking and picking the spots when to dominate, and length of time he can dominate.

Best case scenario Spurs finally repeat.

This is Lebron James' last year as the Man.

And Kawhi is already better than Durant Harden and Westbrook to me... and those guys are not going to imrpove.

No one in his peer group is touching Kl and the Greek Freak is still gathering tools from the new school.

Kawhi's window as the Best player is happening at the perfect time. He has developed all the tools, while still having more room left in his bag.

Now he's putting it all together and we're witnessing the magnificence of the craft.

Only Kawhi's heroics can salvage it, otherwise I think there is sense of Deja vu about this series setting in with Pop pulling a special of his putrid playoffs coaching in the last few years..

Let's hold off on stepping up, can he at least maintain his play and not taper off ala 2015 LAC and 2016 OKC.

His playoff resume is still very questionable.

It makes sense for a troll to blame Kawhi for this game.

While his coach didnt even care about Kawhi barely touching the ball in the 3rd quarter.. because the coach wanted to go to LMA and Pau exploiting the mismatch against Rockets smaller defenders

Why would we blame his coach for wrong strategies and the bunch of shitty players he opted to sign to play along with Kawhi? Just blame Kawhi
