Then plopping him in the most pressure he has seen in his life...brilliant move pop...smh...Murray is the future, but if you were giving him that respect the entire season, he would have handled this moment MUCH better...

This is great for Murray. Lets him know why he does the work he does. Like when KL missed that FT in the Finals, he then became one of the best FT shooters in the league. If Murray is worth a shit, he'll see this moment in his life and think "I'm not having a summer vacation this year".

Ditto. Learn or fold. Spurs have a whole to fill and need to know if Murray can fill some of it.

He's playing through being guarded by one of the best defensive guards in the league. He will learn from this experience and get better. I remember Kobe during his rookie year getting physically overwhelmed by the Jazz in the playoffs. Not saying Murray is going to be like Kobe but saying he will get better over time.

He got hurt at exactly the wrong time.
Where have you been?

Dude...Murray got injured in like the last month or 2 of the season...NOTHING pop was doing indicated that he was gonna give Murray playing time even if he was healthy because he wasn't playing him the previous 4-5 months...And even when he was healthy to the end of the season, Pop STILL wasn't playing him, but instead playing our 4th string pg...Come on now, let's not rewrite history... I'm not mad that he played Murray...I wanted him to do so all season...Thats what I'm pissed about...Our rookie would have been in a much better mental space to deal with this situation had he been given consistent minutes during the season...He trusted a much worse rookie parker 4 games or so into the season to START...and DM could barely see game time... this tough love stuff is antiquated...

Play your most talented players...The warriors do it...They have consistency knowing who will play every single game...Our rookie pg who barely played found out he was gonna start an hour before gametime...Come on bro...He did well enough given the circumstance... but dont set my boy up for failure like that, because it hurts the team

Who was that guy with the same name that stared all those games when Tony was out and then had a groin injury that kept him out 1/4 of the regular season?

Plus how do we know he earned minutes in practice? Not sure it's a meritocracy. And no, I'm not inviting people to comment on Parker and Manu not "earning" their roles.

He spent a whole lot of time this year in Austin, where he desperately needed to be. He improved. He started getting minutes, and he got hurt. Now they need him in the rotation because the starting PG is down for the count.

Trying to figure out why the fuck any of this seems like an issue to the OP.
