Who starts at PG in game 4? I go with Mills. Murray is not ready do deal with an elite defender like Beverly. Sub in Murray when they take out Beverly for Williams or Gordon to get Mills his rests.

Cant play Shitty Mills 40 minutes. Demounta will have to play and start

Murray still needs to start. I think he did ok. He needs to tighten up that dribble around Beverley and use his teammates. I think he will be fine after that. If he doesn't let Beverley body him up, then he has a fighting chance.

he's still too much street ball for playoffs

He played like shit, but in this circunstances (without Tony), pop must give him another shot in the starting five.

Murray, Spurs had a good start with him no matter what you think of him. If we have any shot if we happen to win this series, Murray is going to need to learn fast. If we play Warriors we are going to need him to have some reps under his belt in playoffs. Not really worried that Beverly got under him a few times, Beverly does that to almost everyone he defends. Its a good test for Murray.

Yes, it would theoretically get progressively easier. Curry is not Beverley and we've seen how well Kyrie defends him. Bigger problem with Murray is his lack of a shot - he may get Tony Allen treatment if off the ball at all. He did get blown by on defense a few times but his length is an asset. Forbes probably gets blown by, has no length and has an even tougher time bringing the ball up.

I was surprised not to see any Bertans minutes though I guess Kyle only got two himself. Dedmon is probably glued to the bench anytime Harden is on the floor because he's too foul prone.

At this rate Kawhi will be the starting PG.

What's awesome too... is that as far as providing playoff experience for DM... the Rockets are the best team for it, since the Spurs are strong enough to prevail.

Going into the Gs battle it's all hands on deck, and this playing tine is invaluable.

Also it feels like DM for whatever reason is a natural against the Cavs.

Stars are lining up for a title run.

An optimist! I love it! D Money will start next game, he has to find his sea legs and like you said this is the series for it.

Irving is a weak defensive PG that Murray could deal with better. Not a big fan of Mills as an initiating PG but Murray/Beverly made the Udrih/ Lindsey matchup look like a knockout win for Udrih. Give Murray 10-15 min and let Mills get his 30. Ginobili or Simmons can handle the rest. Murray could be a more positive offensive force for his time on the floor against Williams.

This. Gotta roll with him. There's 4 other veterans on the court with him. Patty can't play that long, JSimms decision making is iffy, same for Manu, and Kyle provides NO penetration threat (insert pervy joke). He might not be ready, but it's now or never if our guys aren't trying to call this postseason a wash. Judging by last night, the Spurs are still gunning.

He needs to stop trying that hesitation crossover, though. It's too predictable

Murray for sure...Put him in the fire...He needs this lesson...He is our future...And the more he plays against defenders, the more he learns them also...Later in the game he looked much more comfortable... I'm sure knowing you're gonna start a couple hours before the game after being a bench warmer the whole season in a road playoff game is enough to rattle any rookie playing against one of the most tenacious pg defenders

Certainly not after a win. Murray got valuable experience last game. We will see if he can improve on his learning experience.

The point isn't Murray on offense, it's Murray on defense. If he can be basically good, then he stays in the SL.

I'm afraid Murray with glimpses of a bust, he remind that brother of Jeff Teague who was bulls first round pick and out of the league quickly...

Ok? No, he was Beno Murray. He was terrible and got his pocket picked by more than just Beverley. He's not regular NBA ready, and certainly not playoff ready.

Come on now. Rockets were playing like shit in that stint but Demunta was getting his shit pushed in by little african policeman

Dont get me wrong he is a rookie and is to be expected but the hype for this poor guy was extreme. Hes an average nba rookie at best

I cannot believe Murray only had 2 turnovers assigned to him. I could have sworn he was stripped at least 4 times.

He looked like a rookie put into an intense playoff game put against a good PG defender. And somehow it wasn't a disaster for the team. He wasn't playing bad, he just has zero experience running the offense for the Spurs.

If he could actually clean that shit up, we'd be blowing the rockets out the gates. Exactly why he needs more time.

I have no problem him starting tbh

There is no choice. Sure we could start Forbes and he would probably habdle better but obviously Dujunta has mich more upside

Would love to see Simmons get the start still. If not, instead of yanking Murray early for Mills, yank him early for Simmons. Then bring in Mills at normal sub time or slightly before.
