TPA continues to be a shitty stat, but it's made worse by this graph. There's little question Kawhi has been the MVP of the playoffs, but by counting minutes on both axes (TPA is proportional to playing time), they've taken what should be a simply relationship chart and biased it a ton. Being farther too the right is not particularly good, unlike in usual charts like this. Instead, you have to look at TPA/minutes (which gets you a bastardized version of BPM, so being "good" actually means being above this relationship curve.

To put it in other words, the chart makes it look like Harden is close to Kawhi, but in reality, he's been much closer to Mike Conley in terms of impact. Meanwhile, Draymond has actually been the best per-minute, but he's almost lost in the pack due to how the chart was designed. Meanwhile, most guys to the right are actually shitty to below average.
