Heart and soul of this team.... when he walks away, he will be sorely missed...

Hopefully by that time we shipped that soulless LMA out, and got somebody with balls, tbh...

Once Ginobili and Parker retires, this team will have no more heart. Keep Mills and Simmons if at all possible.

This vindicates the front office for keeping this guy around for another contract - in fact I don't think he will retire yet. Need to still be around to teach the younger how to have some heart and win playoff games.

Definitely had that look that he wasn't going to lose no matter what tonight. Some nights his body says no, other nights it allows him to compete. Tonight he had one of the biggest moments of his career at 39 years old. But he was tuned in that whole entire game, phenomenal performance.

Parker prolly done for good makes it more probable ( they both retire in 2018). You also have Simmons getting paid by somebody for his play in the series as another factor..

It's got nothing to do with that...even if it was the other way around or both white players, I'd call it the same thing. Sometimes you just get niggr'd, and it can happen to anyone. Just like anyone can be a faggot.

Agreed. I thought LMA would bring so much more to this team. He's been a HUGE disappointment and a total beta. Plays when he wants to, doesn't work hard. He's the guy that played basketball because he was tall, not because he loved it.

those who have been watching Manu for the last 15 years now he's up there with Duncan as the two top players ever playing for the Spurs. Obviously he's almost 40 and a shell of what he used to be but that is expected due to age. Still he can win games at this age which is remarkable and that tells you about his talent and what a winner he is. Back in his prime he used to win games on his own and everyone said whenever he found his gear he was unplayable. For many years the Spurs didn't have a shot at winning whenever he was injured coming playoffs - he was that instrumental to the whole thing.

Lots of younger folks here or newer or recent fans who haven't really seen Manu playing during his career so they get carried away by what he does when he's 37, 38, 39 years old. Not sure what people are expecting. I think is just truly remarkable what he still does.

This guy has won absolutely anything and everything, NBA, FIBA, Europe, Olympics. Not a stats guy and he has always sacrificed his numbers in order to win for the team - even when he has never cared about stats you can just pull overall numbers on pretty much all meaningful bb stats and you will see him somewhere within top 50 players in history in almost all categories. Can you fucking believe that? with all the players who have played the NBA since stats started being recorded that someone has that standing power is unbelievable.

Complete legend and a player known for being super clutch all his career
