How many times can one man get cucked by Pop?
How many teams are gonna trust their franchise with this clown?

D'Antoni did a great job, tbh, overachieved with a limited roster..
The problem is Harden, of course..McHale, that bald nigga and now D'Antoni..they keep changing coaches, but the results are the same..even when they made their WCF run in 2015, don't forget that Harden was on the bench during their entire game 6 historic run..

He doesn't get that if you only play 7 players you hurt your chances of winning.

His teams are the definition of cute little regular season teams, tbh..

D'Antonio will never win. Going small ball with the entire offensive system based on hucking up 3's will not fly in the playoffs

For how long can you trust the three ball and this 4 second shot clock when it's already been a regular season success and a playoff failure for over a decade now?

The Warriors use a similar blueprint. Of course they were already a good defensive team.

A well balanced team always wins in the end. Period. End of story.

Warriors credit D'Antoni for a large chunk of their success, tbh..

The warriors play good defense, move the ball around, and shoot 3's...doesn't help when the warrior's prom queen is hitting shots from half court.

SSOL is like Judo, it's very effective if everyone is using the same rules or you're competing against a lesser opponent. However like Judo, the SSOL only works "well" when it's hybridized with a full contact system that has defense. Jiu Jitsu is a fighting technique, Judo is a competition technique. SSOL is a regular season, pure form gimmick that looks great when done right, but breaks down as soon as the opponent doesn't play along.

Can't win against elite teams in playoffs when your best player is a complete liability on defense that makes Danny's drives look like prime Kobe.

D'antoni's 7 man rotation .....LOL
He never learns. Jalen Rose had a good article about the '07 Suns who he feels would have won if someone like Carlisle had been the coach. He says the never discussed how they were going to play defense.

You aren't winning w/ the D'Antoni system when your PG plays so badly. He's the engine that powers that offense. Dude has no redeemable qualities this game. A lot of his consistency has been because he gets a million free throws a game. I guess with that taken away his rhythm really was off. But still, you gotta look to create for your teammates if your shot is off. Do something other than quitting tbh.
Dude couldn't even prepare for Harden completely quitting lmao. Like by pulling a pop and benching him or something. Can't do that in an elimination game

D'Antoni really did good with Houston this year, and I thought Houston was a worthy opponent this year... until last night's clunker, and that's more on Harden that anybody. Harden was sleepwalking through the game and showed absolutely no fire. Houston relied on him and he simply didn't show up.

Will this forum ever admit it was wrong about D'Antoni?

A combination of bad luck (career-killing injuries to Kobe & Amare) and locker room malcontents (Dwight & Melo) sabotaged the D'Antoni eras in LA & NY. Literally the two cities with the biggest media and biggest online fan presence around the league. And so he was scapegoated, and everyone else bought into the narrative that he was a buffoon.
But in fact, Mike D'Antoni is a damn good coach.
There's a reason why he has always been highly regarded around the league, even as his name was being dragged through the mud by fans on social media, and by talking heads on TV. There's a reason why Team USA keeps bringing him back. There's a reason why he keeps getting hired for the biggest jobs in the NBA.
By the end of this season, we'll see the 3rd League MVP to win an award playing for D'Antoni. And that doesn't even count what he did with Jeremy Lin, which was practically witchcraft.

I speak for the entire forum. We were wrong.
So I guess the answer is yes.

This forum needs to admit that it was wrong about Harden too. Blamed last year's issues on Harden even though it's looking like it was all Dwight Howard. Rockets have the best chemistry in the league now.

haha. I LOVE to watch his teams lose, his dejected despondent expressions, his post game shoulder shrugging presser. #popsbitch

After last night I have two questions:
1. If a Spurs star had mailed it in like Harden did last night, how would Pop have reacted?
2. How will Pringles react to Harden's mailing it in last night?
I wonder what kind of relationship Pringles and Harden will have going forward. This has the makings of a real soap opera going into the off-season and next season. Also makes me wonder how much the end of game 5 had to do with Harden's no-show in game 6.
