LOL this. it's also why I never give up thinking it can be turned around. OKC series last year was a shock to me for that reason, but I understand it now was due to losing Timmy's movement, and getting outplayed physically.

I wish I could truthfully answer the OPs question but I'm gonna guess it's a mixture of salt, yeast, and one of soap, lube, or sunshine depending on his time proximity to a shower, a date with Bonner, or a full day of being the greatest coach in sports history.

Another one of these threads? Pop's critics this series:

1. Play Simmons more
2. Play Murray more
3. Play Lee less

Tell me, how'd tonight play out on the top three criticisms of Pop all series.

Oh wait, they all bore out while the Spurs skull f'ed the Rockets.

Give Pop credit. I thought he was conceding by sitting Kawhi but he coached to win the game. His substitutions were pretty much on point. Just enough David Lee. The length of Gasol/Aldridge kept the Rockets from getting anything going all night. If you're going to play 2 bigs you need to make sure you rebound and clog the paint up on defense then punish them in the post on offense.

Pop played such masterful line ups, that sprang to life as magically as he could have vividly imagined.

It was right after the alley oop on a break from Anderson to Murray when I realized it. Glipsed int the next dimension.

Mills Manu Dj Anderson and Lamarcus.

The Body of the System.

Just look how matched up that is! Examine it. The Chemistry.

Pop wields a weapon that transforms... he utilizes the aspect for when Houston was most vulnerable to that Incarnation

Pop had mayve 6 groupings... that have concepts. Various hues of Basketball.

And then he puts in the players that have the igredients to manifest it, but they also synergy... and other unintended energies are released.

the move of the season. Pretty much forced the other players in particularly LMA to pick it up since they can't rely on Kawhi and all the while making the Rockets complacent thinking it was going to be an easy win

Yuixafun

Mills Manu LMA Ka and Dj

One example of a Spurs grouping Nirvana.

The Boldness of Mills Manu and Dj ignites the Courage in Ka And Lma

The youth and passion of Dj with prime and passion of Mills with the twilight and passion of Manu, makes Manu find spring again, Murray matudity beyond his years, and Mills with the tigers eye.

The Lanky defensive disrupting herky jerky tenacious pestiness

The Slow Mo and Dj Flash show, sowing passing lane confusion, Mills agitating inducing buzzing and scrambling, Manu's instincts, infinite experience and timing and understanding that time runs out, with mobile rim protection and rugged last line of reluctant bully defense from Lma.

Just some examples of what I was implying insofar chemistry and synergy.

The Poplovers are funny after last night. This is what the third thread on this?

What exactly does OP think Pop deserves credit for, or how he proved his detractors wrong? Let's review the common complaints of his critics:

1. Simmons needs more run. How's that work out last night?
2. Murray needs more run. How'd the kid do? Oh, 11-10-5 with two steals and a block, and only one turnover?
3. Play Lee less, he can't protect the rim. Lee played the least minutes all series with the game in question.

Pivoting to strategy now, one of the biggest complaints not just this playoffs, but going back to 2015 after Kawhi won Finals MVP, is that Pop ditched the ball movement beautiful game offense to run things through Kawhi. Popsuckers argued that we didn't have the personnel to run this kind of an offense any longer.

While LaMarcus was devastating on the block last night, the Spurs put Houston away in the second and third with... ball movement, beautiful gameesque play.

So, what exactly did Pop prove to his detractors last night other than they were right?

Popovich does not like losing in the playoffs, especially against the offensive mastermind of basketball. In fact, after this 4-2 series win over Houston, Pop is now 5-0 in playoff series against the Italian-American head coach, amassing a 20-6 postseason record versus the now-Rockets maestro.
