View Full Version : If Someone Told You...
After game Memphis series, Game 6 vs Rockets in Houston, TP out for season, KL on DNP-injury, somewhere in the 3rd (or so), fast break after a steal, fathead to Murray for alley oop dunk that pushes the lead to thirty-something... what would you have said?

Was game six a gutsier (more gutsy?) win than game five?

Not even in my wildest dreams I could have thought it would be a beatdown, but I believe in this team.
I think Pop keeps younger players in too tight a leash until they earn their keep or their spot or whatever and I think in doing that he's held back or "hidden" the talent the team really has.
Congrats to them. Glad the team has some future.

They were playing with house money tonight. Game 5, season on the line, TP injured, Kawhi suddenly injured.

I mean that's a beauty.
You notice at no time did any Spurs player pop their jersey or beat their chest. They don't do that, but I felt they were saying "good boy" to the Houston Rockets until they could bury them. Other than the Green/Ariza skirmish, there was no back and forth.

How many PG's can catch alley-oops like that.
How many PG's can catch alley-oops like that.
Kyrie, John Wall, Chris Paul in his younger days, Nate Robinson could, Damian Lillard, Derrick Rose a few years ago, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, probably several more. It's not uncommon.

It's always so fun that the Spurs find new ways to humiliate D'Antoni. No matter what happens next, this season is a success.:lol
