It's a good case for resting players through the season and for going deeper than just 7 players in an OT game.

I thought he did look tired and I mentioned it though some fans blasted my comments as if I was unloyal or something.

Spurs ran the Rockets out of the playoffs with their depth. Props to Jsimms too, he wore him down with his energy and fresh legs.

D'Antoni always keeps a short leash in the playoffs and doesn't develop his bench. It was the same issue with the Suns.

The rest angle is a red herring. James quit. He wasn't tired. That's not even the main issue. Mike didn't do anything about it. He didn't sub Bev at the 1. He did nothing, just watched it all crumble down.

Media is trying to spin this as a rest issue. James wasn't interested from the tip off. Sam Amick was embedded with Houston coaches for the first few games, and no way Pop allows that, so of course the media is going to throw Mike a bone.

rest wasnt the issue....warriors rarely rest their players as much as we do and they are steamrolling everyone

Warriors combination of youth and regularly winning games in 3 quarters are why they don't need to rest. The biggest factor for Harden was having to guard LaMarcus and Pau the whole series. It finally wore him down to the point where he wasn't MVP Harden anymore. They could have easily won the series had they continued to use the pick and roll with Capela and shoot floaters. The blame falls entirely on MDA, for not coaching defense and opting to die by the 3 in games 5 and 6.

Yeah, I wonder what shoes he was wearing. I wonder if he just slipped because of his footwork or if the traction on his shoes played a part in it? I think he normally wears Jordan's, so I'd say the traction should have been OK? especially on a clean NBA court.
