Name me a team that after trading major assets for Kawhi would be better off than the Spurs are today. Spurs aren't dealing him without getting a HAUL back and he's incentivized to stay as he'll be eligible for the super max contract. MAYBE Boston could offer Crowder and the two Brooklyn firsts and you could argue it. No other team.

Oh and umm, I have been a Spurs fan for 25 years because of David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and now Kawhi, but if the Spurs can't get him a decent team around him that can compete for a Championship next season, then I wouldn't be opposed to him asking to go somewhere else. He deserves to be on a team that can contend.

That doesn't mean I'm giving up this season (I still think we can come back and tie it up), though, it's just that I'm thinking we'll lose players from the current team and might end up with a worse team next season due to a lack of money. Spurs should have signed Simmons to a 3 year deal.
