it's going to be tough to replace this guy and I mean REPLACE this guy despite his age. The Spurs have a really good team but to compete at this level they are a little short on the bench. Everything needs to go right like not losing your best players, etc - he's going to be sorely missed

Loss is on Patty today imo..

Patty is 5'11 and had a 6'7 Klay Thompson who is a very good defender on him all game. Patty isn't going to do shit this series.

Pau Gasol, on the other hand, is 7'0 tall and should be feasting on their lineups, but instead is softer than baby shit and just brought his worst performance of the year to the table. He was absolute trash. Blame him.

I've been hard on him lately but even at 39 he gave it all he has left. Worse part was there was just a tweet saying he was really crying in the locker room after the loss. Feel bad for him. Going to miss him when he retires.

Spurs have to muster will power for 3 more "try to win" games.

Pop should just play Murray the entire time to develop him. These are free preseason games for him, at the highest level.

Manu isn't hanging it up after this.

I actually liked Patty on Durant in very limited minutes. Pesters him and creates issues on cross matches going the other way.

I didn't like Pattys game but you are right. It's not like he didn't compete. Pau instead brought shit to the table.

Also games like this do reveal why Patty is better as a bench player and sparkplug.

That was a good move by Mike Brown. I'm not sure what good counters Spurs have for that. Danny Green can't make Curry pay for defending him. The Spurs can use that to wear him down. We saw how his offense suffered. Yet the other guys need to be ready to contribute.

Yup. I blame Pop more than LMA for it, he's a disaster playing like that - dude ignites transition better than a prime Magic Johson when he's forced to pass out of a double.

Reading Gasol's name here, reminded me of that absolutely clean offensive board against Barnes that was called a foul, and then they hit a 3.

If you are going to play big and the refs are calling that charmin shit on the boards, might as well just give up
