Clippers guard Shaun Livingston missed Thursday's preseason game against the Mavericks and isn't expected to play tonight against the Kings, due to a strained lower back. "There's no reason for concern to this point because Shaun knows what he needs to do for us, and there's still plenty of time for him to get ready before the season starts," head coach Mike Dunleavy told the Los Angeles Times.

Livingston missed 52 games last year due to shoulder and knee injuries, but is expected to play a significant role in the Clippers rotation backing up Sam Cassell at the point guard spot this season. Given the fragile qualities of Cassell it would seem as though Livingston has an opportunity to contribute this season. The only fantasy owners who select him should be those who need to back up Cassell.
