Some episodes were a little too full of itself, but I felt it was a great season.

Very easy, rewarding TV, tbh.
I like how they took more artistic liberties this season. Aziz is just too loveable to hate.
What is this show about? Seinfeld approach?

Aziz jerking off and trying to date in New York with a liberal helping of hipsterisms

Watched a few episodes and found it painfully unfunny.

Too much liberalism for you, amirite?

Same. I think the presence of Aziz is the only thing keeping people watching.

I got 15 minutes in before I cut out. And I'm a huge fan of Aziz & Eric Wareheim.

Uhh, no? More like shitty writing and boring characters.
Jack of all trades. Master of none.

Eric is great in season 2.
You can actually watch season 2 without watching season 1 and not really miss anything. Anyone half intelligent can fill in the gaps. The show takes a pivot in season 2, different stylistically, taking more artistic liberties.
If you don't like the show after giving season 1 a try, just jump to season 2. Eric shows up in episode 2 or 3 IIRC, he's pretty funny.

I want to marry Francesca, tbh.
Not understanding the hate. I thought it was pretty decent.
