View Full Version : Will there be heat between the Spurs and Warriors from now on?

Up into now I would think that the Spurs don't really have any arch enemies in the league. That team that has real heat with the Spurs. Even during the Spurs versus Heatles era there was more respect than anything else. Compare the disdain LeBron shows for the Dubs compared to how he talks about the Spurs even though he has faced both teams twice in the last 4 years with the same results. The other Texas teams haven't done well enough to be a rival right now. The Dubs crush most teams but they seem to have a real hard on for destroying the Clippers. Has game one caused a paradigm shift in the Spurs relationship with the Warriors? I know that Pop and Kerr are tight but as long as Zaza is on the roster I can see a definite chilling of the relationship, especially if Kerr hangs it up and another head coach takes over. I wouldn't mind having a team that the Spurs had animosity towards but heck what Spur would even show it? Probably the Juice, lol. They are the two best teams in the West so I wouldn't mind seeing an increase in hostilities from the players, I know my disdain for the Dubs has grown 1000% in two short years.

why would the warriors have beef with the spurs? They won and they don't care how they won

Because deep down I am not sure they "know" they are better than a 100% healthy Spurs team. Raymond was pissed last year when being asked about not being able to beat the Spurs in Texas, and Curry hates it to when asked any questions from their adoring media public besides, 'how great are you guys?" The Spurs know despite all the hype they can take these bitches, just like they knew they could take the Heat. Rivalries have been built on less. Especially when you factor in a team harboring the player that injured your star player and then proceeded to have his back.

it all depends on this upcoming Game 2 tbqh - I'd like to see what the Spurs do from now on in terms of not being trolled by GS. I can imagine if the BS non-calls continue that there will be some blood. So far everything has been white gloves on but that can change tonight. At the end of the day if there is any perception that GS tries to win by employing methods that are outside BB then there could be something.

Can't speak for the Spurs but I will always detest the Warriors. Spurs broke up the 3 superstar Heat. Would love to freaking see them take out the 4 superstar Warriors but honestly they need Kawhi healthy and a ton of streaky luck on their side.

True I'd like for them to come out and punch them in the mouth. Remember when Tony called us the bad boys

Spurs are too classy, unfortunately. The Warriors are not.

I was going to make a thread about this too.
I feel like a real hate infused rivalry is being born.

Yes there will be. Only on the scoreboard in Spurs favor I hope.

The should play hard like Zaza. It doesn't matter if you injure anyone.

You'd have to have pride in the game to give a fuck about asterisks, they don't have any.
