He must have known about the collusion inside the DNC, and wanted no part of being railroaded like Bernie. He had an easy out with his son's death.

She was the wrong candidate because she couldn't win a twice-rigged election.

The same reason Warren didn't run even though people were begging her to. There was a clear unwritten rule among the DNC that 2016 was Hilary's year and anyone who got in the way would get smeared.

Now you're talking some sense. Pochahantas would never win the primary though; she's done. She killed her career shilling for Hillary like Maxine Waters,Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer. Also lying about your ethnicity to get into a university :lmao

LOL such a shitty excuse. The Vice President who was just as popular as the president himself didn't want any part of it because it was mighty Hillary's turn at the wheel?

If he felt she wasn't the correct candidate which is true, then fucking run.

I agree, she ruined any shot she had at being president once she become a whore for the Clintons when up until last year she had made a name for herself by being beholden to no one. Lost all the respect she had from the progressive wing of the Democratic party.

She would have had a shot in 2016 though given how much noise Bernie made in the primary. Warren has always been able to raise a shitload of money in her local races so she wouldn't have had the same disadvantage Bernie had in that department, and she would have entered the race with more name recognition than Bernie had.

That's a stretch.

She still enjoys support up and down the progressive down to the more moderate democrats.

I dont buy for a second she damaged herself to the point where running for president is an outside shot. If she runs you'll probably have to give her the best chance to get the nomination.

One thing I dont like about that is that having back to back woman getting nominated doesn't give the democrats good odds. The women card got played too much as it is.

The Indian stuff really is very embarrassing honestly and enough to get a significant percent to write her off for that nonsense alone. Maybe I would even do something like that if I was borderline to get into college but I would sure as fuck expect it to blow back in my face big time when people found out. Wouldn't even crack Trump's top 10 embarrassments if he did it but she's not going to get the blind devotion from so many people he gets so no point in saying but but Trump..

I think he will try for re-election. His die hards will convince him that he would win no matter what the polls are saying around that time. You have to remember that Trump is arrogant. And if the Dem nominee happens to be Pocohontas whom he had epic wars of words with on numerous occasions I will bet my savings he would run against her. lol

I don't know man, with Pence forming his own PAC already. And he has to be one of the big leakers out of Trump's white house. He is the only one who really has anything to gain by going to the Washington Post. It doesn't look like Trump is going to make it through his term.

I think even if he does try for 4 more, assuming his approval rating stays where it is, someone like Kasich (there's a reason why he's been whoring around for constant TV coverage the last few months) will make it a primary which could lead to Trump bowing out if the GOP puts enough pressure on him.

Kasich pulling a Ted Kennedy would be a disaster in that scenario, since it would only play out like that if Trump's campaign was found innocent of collusion with Russia. Hardcore Republican voters don't regret their Trump picks, so the people who are going to vote in a GOP primary aren't going to want Kasich over orange shithead. Now if Trump is out of power Kasich absolutely should challenge Pence.

That will only work if just one person runs against him in the primaries. Last time Kasich and Rubio refused to drop out even when they had no chance so if Cruz and a bunch of others stupidly run against him Trump will be fine.

If Trump gets his tax plan passed (specifically the repeal of the estate tax), he has no reason to run again. That's the reason I think his whole family is doing this (why would Jared and Ivanka basically give up their lives to go work for nothing?)

I don't see anything in him personally, he's a run of the mill neo-conservative corporate whore who preaches the same horseshit trickle down policy that never works, but a lot of moderates for whatever reason love him just because he was mild mannered and didn't say much during the Republican primary.

Depends on POV. You see it as enriching himself. I see it as keeping what he's already earned (and paid taxes on).

Either way, it would mean he only wanted to be president for selfish reasons, and that he never intended on helping out the average American the way he claimed to.

Laugh all you want. I'm just a lowly housewife who's devoted herself to God and family (on one income) and who is well aware of what gets touched by estate tax. I'd do it all over again.

I doubt that's the only reason. He sees the country going down the tubes and did something about it. Anyway, my comment was more wondering why Ivanka and Jared would be giving up so much (their lives in NY and businesses). Being president is in itself a great accomplishment for anyone, much less someone with no political experience like him.

I hope if it does happen they have something so concrete (and I'm talking something djohn2oo8 concrete) that no one not even his full on loony base can question. I know a few of them who are ready to riot at a drop of a hat if he does happen to get impeached. And you know if that happens Trump being Trump will have nothing to lose and will probably stoke the fire over the whole thing.
