Melo?
Any of Boston's picks?
Guards sent packing in LA at Lavar Ball's demand?

Yes his trade value is through the roof given his playoff performances.

Spurs aren't getting equity for LMA. You take the good with the bad and stop whining about it. He's still a valuable cog in the right situation.

I'd take the cap space. Go out and sign a couple of players who give a shit with his $21 million.

BINGO! I don't really care what we get in a trade as long as we can get some players for $21MM who can play smart and play hard to replace LMA.

Derrick Favors and GHill?

DeRozan in a S&T?

In the lEast LMA would turn Toronto into a 60 game winner :lol

Honestly I would be happy with a salary dump. This team has a lot of holes, lots of dead weight. Just get the fuck off the team, tbh.

ESPN NBA trade machine says a Boogie for LMA straight up works and whatever sweeter they need, I do it.

Just said it in another thread. Utah has a shitload of cap space, and two first round picks. Getting a player plus another first round pick wouldn't be the worst thing. I like the possibilities for the middle of this draft, and LMA playing next to Gobert would have to be worth considering for Utah.

Maybe this becomes a bigger possibility if Hayword leaves...

He's dead weight and too much of a head case. If he stays, knowing he can't be counted on will bring the morale of a team down.

Nothing of equal value. LMA isn't going anywhere, for better or worse.

This.

Instead of getting rid of him, keep improving his defense, find a point who can use him, and accept that's he's overpaid second banana with limitations. Throw out the salary he's a useful big. And his trade value is at a low point Not the time to sell.

They have FA of their own to take care of. I guess we have to wait where those guys go (G.Hill, Hayward, etc)

This is the answer. He is good but not great. He is not what some people hoped for. Frankly I never saw a great player in Portland. He is pretty much what I expected him to be. But as far as getting any kind of equal value for him it's not going to happen. He basically only has one year left on his contract anyway and then he can opt out. Might as well play it out.

I'd trade for Zaza too. Makes it easier for hitmen to gun him down if he resides locally in San Antonio.

Equal value or not Wade and Dwert got a shit ton of money for their value, so everything is possible that stock market thing is not exact science.

Said it before and I'll say it again. Avery Bradley. We don't have a shooting guard worth a shit, and Bradley is the 3&D player everyone thinks D League Green is. He can actually dribble as well.

Trading for picks would only damage the Spurs because there is not enough time to get a non-Lebron type of guy up to speed from the draft. It can only be done for another big time player and with a team that needs a 4 or 5 guy to mix it up with their current A-players.

When the Pacers traded Leonard for GHill they thought they were getting a steal, but most importantly, they craved a true point guard to take them to the next level. They were very very good at that time and Hill really helped them tremendously. They just couldn't overcome Lebron. There could be deals to be made out there similar to this caliber for LMA, but since the Spurs will be the ones most in need to dump him, it's unclear whether they will get same value - most likely not.

Obviously we're not getting equal value. Maybe we can get someone that makes team better.
