Sadly agree but I think the future is bright and Kawhi is gonna take the league over. Murray needs to bust his ass over the summer and he can be the future Pg. Saw a lot from Simmons of we can keep him. Bring back manu all the other old fuckers can go.

Playing Kawhi even if he's somewhat healthy by game 4 would be like playing your star in the 4th quarter when you're up by 30. There's literally no point and only potential for something bad to happen.

Let Murray and Simmons practice with Kawhi. If their shots improve even half as much they'd be great with their ability to beat you off the dribble.

If he's healthy he should play. If not I hope we play our asses off to have this series go back to Oakland. You never know what could happen in a series. Why can't we be the first? Maybe KD or Curry get injured, and that changes the momentum or Pop finally figures out that playing Gasol & Aldridge together doesn't work against GS. At least extend our season a bit to get our younger guys more playoff experience.

I don't think he should play. It wouldn't be fair to throw him out there coming off an injury in an elimination game against a historically great team. He doesn't deserve the criticism that will come his way if they lose, which they more than likely will.

yeah, I'm all for this. Just extending the series to get the younger players more exposure and experience at this level would be great. I mean, they're going against the most loaded up team in NBA history. It can't be a bad thing getting the young guys more time on this stage. Even if it only goes 5 games, I don't want to get swept. Try and win game 4 with everything you've got. If Kawhi can play and he wants to, you gotta let him play IMO.

The worst possible thing would be to have him get hurt again, and wind up needing surgery. We know he works on his game in the offseason, and he's always come back better. Missing that would be bad enough. But if he was still recovering when training camp opens, it would be a disaster.

Taking a chance on that, to try and come back from being down 0-3 doesn't sound like a good idea. I would be shocked to see him play in Game 4. Especially if it's anything more than a cameo appearance to give the crowd a chance to cheer.

Isiah Thomas injured his hip in mid-March. They sat him for 2 games. He re-aggravated it. Then re-aggravated it again during the playoffs. I just saw that he has a labral tear in his hip. A torn labrum won't heal, which means sooner or later he'll have to have it surgically repaired. I don't know when it tore, but continuing to play almost certainly made things worse.

It's not the same injury, but it's the same idea. Risking an injury that could require surgery would be one thing if it was 3-3 in the Finals, because you never know if/when you get another chance. But at 0-3 in the WCF, it's just not worth it. I think they'll sit him for Game 4. I hope they do, anyway.

Most of those guys aren't the entire future of their franchises.

But just out of curiosity, since you know all about it. How many of the guys you're talking about play through three injuries on the same ankle in a matter of a few days? No side-stepping bullshit - how many do you know about that roll the same ankle three times and jump right back into action?

Baseball is different anyway, there's a lot of variability and parity, no team is that much better than one another... look at the season records every year to confirm that.

NBA is the least parity sport in the world. There will never be a 3-0 comeback. Last season's two 3-1 comebacks in a row is the best you're ever going to see.

A week it's normally enough for a sprained ankle, i had it many times playing soccer and you really can play without any problem with painkillers.
I am pretty sure that aggravating an ankle sprain usually isn't anything to worry about as it will just extend the recovery period.
That's why most players usually play thru sprains, Tim, Tony and Manu did many times, it's not big deal, actually he could have came back in game one with a shot and a strong bracing taping on the ankle.
