We're out of the championship fight, so i make this thread to spend time.

I think 2014 Spurs would beat 2017 Warriors in 6.

Who you think would win in a 7 game series?.

I really don't see how gs would hace stopped very good finishers inside as Tim, Tony, Manu, Boris and Tiago were that season.
Also probably the best defending season from both Kawhi, Danny and Tiago.
Also i don't know how Kawhi would have reacted to cover Durant in the conference finals and nba finals.

I got Spurs in 5.

2014 TD would have simply dominated that frontcourt and punished all guards switched to him on the block. He aint got time for fadeaways over players 1 foot shorter than him.

Spurs would demolish them like they did the heat. Spurs were losing to no one!

That spurs team would shit on almost any team in the playoffs.

Sorry that Spurs team took advantage of Heat's aging role players and rotations, it had a very hard time against Thunder with injured Ibaka.

A big part of it was the vengeance factor, the hatred they had for the Heat, 28 seconds game 6, it manifested into something truly special against the Heat.

2017 Warriors just has too many weapons, Warriors in 6.

TD would have had a field day with Green guarding him in the post. 30/20 games. And unlike Aldridge he's a very good passer out of double teams.

That spurs team would shit on almost any team in the playoffs.I agree, that's why i pick them over 2017 Warriors, an historical team. I think they would beat shaq & kobe Lakers too. I doubt against Bird's Celtics and Jordan's Bulls.

2017 Warriors just has too many weapons, Warriors in 6.It's true that we had to fight against Thunder, but they had a good team too, they weren't a piece of cake with KD, RW and JH. To me, Spurs style of playing in the finals was something difficult to match, even for the 2017 Warriors.

For all intents and purposes, Duncan was coaching this team.
Not the other guy.

We aren't going to give this one away with stupid lineups and loser strategies.

It would be a tough series, but Duncan wouldn't have been able to stay on the floor, tbh..

No one was beating that 14 team. That ball movement created the best offense. Ever.
That was true basketball. Not this iso based crap we seen for the whole year...

(Even LMA signed here for an unselfish, ball sharing O, not to be a sidekick for Kawhi Bryant, TBH. TEAM vs Kawhi and this is simply not a hate on KL or anything. Simply our roster was built it this way, but there is a reason I could never watch the Carmelo or Bryant offenses..)

They had trouble with 40 year old Manu, they would have much more with a 4 year younger Manu with a rolling big like Tiago to give him space

The 2014 Spurs weren't going to be stopped. Heck, the Cavs might just go B2B this year. The Warriors haven't been tested in the playoffs yet.

I have that Spurs team as one of the greatest NBA teams of all time. These Warriors wouldn't have touched them. Not sure how many teams in history could have

Is it a fair series with all players healthy? Or does 2017 Zaza hurt 2014 Kawhi intentionally in that series?

GSH

How about the 2013 Spurs? A 2013 Tim, Tony, and Manu would crush these Warriors. And Danny shot 3's like they were layups right up till Game 6 of the Finals.

Not for nothing, a lot of you remember the Spurs destroying Heat but forget that we 2 minutes away from going down 3-1 to the Mavs, and were close to going to game 7 against OKC.

I think the Spurs were good but the Warriors have been better, lucky for us, Steve Kerr didnt go to Golden State until 2015 because in all likelihood, the Warriors would have likely gotten rolling in 2014 if he was there.

Warriors in 6. That 2014 team was great, and their Finals performance might have been the most impressive in NBA history. But this Warriors team might be the greatest team in NBA history.
