Goehring says it’s become more and more difficult to find people to do this work.

“It’s been a real struggle and it’s been increasing the last 5-6 years,” he said.

Goehring is among the growing number of agricultural businessmen in California who have tried a number of strategies to lure workers. From putting ads in the paper to offering benefits- such as health insurance and 401(k)s, Goehring has even increased pay on certain jobs up to $22 an hour.

Goehring says he tried to get Americans to do the work.

“No one’s ever lasted through lunch on the first day. They just walk off the job and we don’t hear from them again. It tells us Americans simply don’t want the jobs,” he said.

Congrats to President Trump for his 5-6 year crackdown on illegals.

I wish they'd mention how Big Boss Brown was going to kill the farmland last summer during an epic drought so that he could illegally sell the water supply, which was already being tightly regulated and rationed as was, to the fine elitist folks that run Los Angeles. The false idol elitist celebs have to, HAVE to have green lawns, food supply and everyone else in this shithole state be damned.

The rains saved that from coming to fruition much to the disdain of Big Boss Brown's bank account. Too bad it doesn't rain reality and work ethic onto unemployed Americans who think they are too good for this kind of work. Meanwhile, it's Trump's fault that it doesn't rain wetbacks apparently.
