Damn I would love to see Bloodborne 2 for this fall or next spring. Speaking of Bloodborne, if you don't have it the PS Store is selling the complete edition with DLC for $21 right now. The DLC alone usually costs $20 and is the best part of the game IMO.

Far Cry 5 in Montana sounds amazing, but I don't trust Ubisoft at all. They haven't put out a good game since Far Cry 4. And even that had some problems. The last 3 years Ubisoft games have had ridiculous hardware requirements without having the graphical quality or smoothness of gameplay to justify it. Like when Far Cry 4 came out, I had the second best gpu money could buy (GTX 970) and there was still some microstutter playing that at 1080p with vsync to 60 fps on. It was a good looking game but it wasn't Crysis 3 or even GTA V graphically. So I'm wondering if GTX 1070 is the minimum you can go to get 60 fps on 1080p high in Far Cry 5.

Man I'd love it if Sony gave us a surprise 2017 launch of Days Gone or God of War. Even if all the interesting shit is put off until 2018, this year has already been so amazing I wouldn't be too mad.

343 failed big time with the campaign of halo 5 and MCC multiplayer but the remaster of H2 was great. 343 has also fired Brian reed so that should help. But I'm a giant halo nerd so I'm biased. But overall I like 343 because halo 4 is my favorite one, they did a good job on the remaster of halo2, I liked halo wars 2 a lot, and the multiplayer in halo 5 is excellent. They definitely have some work to do going forward though

Yes, Origins was amazing, as was the Awakening expansion (not some little DLC, a full on 20+ hour expansion). Should be a staple for anyone who likes RPGs.

From Software released Demons Souls in early 2009 (though late 2009 in the US), Dark Souls in late 2011, Dark Souls 2 in early 2014, Bloodborne in early 2015, and Dark Souls 3 in early 2016. I don't see why a 2018 release would seem so strange based on From's productivity with this series.

I think Wolfenstein II is going to be great. I wasn't a fan of Doom mostly because of the setting and story, but the control is pretty responsive and the game performs really well. With a midrange gpu you can easily play Doom at 1440p 60 fps, which is impressive for a game that looks that good graphically. So you move this engine to a game with a much more interesting story line and setting and it should really be something. Though I'd never want to play this kind of game on a console, any FPS is worlds better on PC with mouse and keyboard.

Shadow of War looked like shit though yesterday. The graphics looked terrible in what they showed off during the XBox presentation. I figured that game would have gotten a big graphical upgrade from Shadow of Mordor (which wasn't that impressive by 2014 standards) but it didn't seem like it yesterday.
