The answer to my question is that the Trump administration has done nothing in regards to Russia interfering in our elections.
Trump criticizes anyone at the drop of the hat. He calls out Canada because of cheese imports. Canada.
Silent on an attack on the US by Russia.
You know, on some level, I'm right, which is exactly why you avoided admitting his silence and inactivity.
Is an attack on our democracy less important to Donald Trump than Canadian cheese imports?
Seriously?
Take the blinders off.

Bu...but, but:

What should I think?
Can you explain Trumps odd silence? Find an alternative explanation, for why his behavior and statements are consistent across the board, until you get to the subject of Russia.
It fits.

Where's the proof? I don't want to hear that shit that we can't be shown the proof because then Russia will know where we're finding it. It's horseshit, pie in-the-sky, malarkey. All of law enforcement and the intelligence community agree. The Senate, after having been briefed on the attacks, has passed a slate of sanctions.
Russia interfered in our elections.
If you want me to show you proof that the Trump administration has done nothing... I can't prove a negative.
The onus for anyone claiming Trump cares about this attack is on someone making that claim.

That is the first thing he has seriously done to Russia so far. A good first step, but merely a token expansion of existing sanctions.
Still not linked to the election tampering though.

worst for Pootin is that oil simply can't get out of the $40s, so he'd really like Trash to stir up some serious shit in M/E and Iran.
Since Pootin's cyber-attacks on USA and Western Europe are acts of war, the West should seize the $100Bs of Russian assets in the West, hold them for decades, like the USA did when the Khomeini grabbed the US Embassy.

they didn't know how effective, if at all, Pootin's attack would be, and, if you'd be better informed, when Obama asked your fucking Bitch McConnell about going public with it, McConnell vetoed.
Without McConnell's cooperation, Repugs would have trashed Obama for helping Hillary.

Slightly. Poor communication. Ejected dozens of Russian diplomats, but not nearly enough.
Now, what is the Trump administration going to do about it?
Deny it happened?
Trump disputes Russian interference in 2016 election
By the way, if Russia was working so hard on the 2016 Election, it all took place during the Obama Admin.," the president tweeted. "Why didn't they stop them?"
Your president is an idiot, and keeps doing things that benefits Russian interests over US ones. Why is that?
I eagerly await your dishonest deflection of these questions, and look forward to you asking a counter question about Clinton, Democrats, or Obama instead of answering any question what plans are of the current president to counter this problem.

I haven't really noticed any focus on Russia, tbh.
The thing about a good theory though, it that it both explains facts, and you can make testable predictions.
Fact 1:
Russia attempted to hack our electoral process through a multi-pronged attack.
Fact 2:
Donald "look how big my inauguration crowd was" Trump has done nothing but deny this even happened. He has shown no willingness whatsoever to hold Russia to account for anything.
Fact 3:
Donald Trump has a pattern of criticizing anyone, and everyone at the drop of a hat. Allies, enemies, courts, free press, nothing has escaped his remarks and twitter feed, except for ONE/(two) thing(s), and that is Russia/Putin
Fact 4:
Russian efforts appeared designed to support Trump
Fact 5:
Trump directly called on Russia publicly to support his efforts to get elected.
Theory:
Donald Trump has been compromised in some way. Either he directly owes them money, or they have evidence of some kind of him breaking the law or doing something he does not want others to know about.
This theory explains those facts, and is fully consistent with observed reality.
Prediction:
Donald Trump will take no action personally, nor will he criticize Russia or Putin in any way in regards to the Russian attack on our elections. He may allow his underlings to do some minor, inconsequential stuff, and if forced to do anything by Congress will drag his feet, if not outright attempt to veto any sanctions.
The way to falsify the theory:
1) Trump criticizes Putin/Russia (good)
2) Trump orders/takes action that materially harms Russian interests (definitive)
Bullshit conspiracy theories fail very often because either: they cannot be falsified, or they directly conflict with observed reality. This theory can be falsified, and does not conflict with what we know as fact.
Donald Trump is unpredictable except for Russia.

The progression of Trump Jr.'s position can be summarized like this:
* I never represented the campaign in a meeting with a Russian.
* Actually, I did, but the meeting was about adoption.
* Well, the pretext of the meeting was incriminating information about Clinton, but we didn't actually get any.
* This kind of meeting is totally normal.
* The meeting didn't seem like such a bad idea at the time because the media wasn't focused on Russia yet.
The one tiny nail on which Trump Jr is hanging what’s left of his story—and the only thing that’s protecting Kushner and Manafort—is
the idea that this meeting was trivial and didn’t lead to anything else.
Don’t believe it.

So, let's sum up.
The Attorney General lied under oath about meeting the Russians while working for the Trump campaign.
The former campaign manager lied about meeting and working for the Russians.
Trump publicly called for help from the Russians with Hillary's emails in speech.
The security advisor lied about meeting and taking money from the Russians, while his lawyer says "he has a story to tell".
Trump Jr., who is a dumbass, admitted publicly to enthusiastically wanting help from the Russian government during the campaign and happily accepted a meeting thinking that was what was happening.
That about sum it up? Other than the not-releasing taxes, and dozens of conflicts of interest?

Even as President Trump publishes scathing tweets of the “failing NYT,” the old gray lady continues to report strong growth in its digital subscriptions and profits. The company has reported a steady surge in new online readers, having added 276,000 subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2016 and another 308,000 in the first quarter of this year. This has helped drive 11 percent growth in circulation revenue and a 19 percent jump in digital advertising revenue for the most recent quarter. The company says it currently has 2.2 million digital only subscribers.

I'm sticking with the story that Pootin/Assange's dribbling of stolen emails for weeks to hurt Hillary, plus Comey's two strategic trashings of Hillary.
I add to that the maybe Kushner and/or Mercer's Cambridge Analytica giving demographic data to Pootin's army in Macedonia? of 100s or 1000s of (cheaply) hired "fake news" hackers doing microtargeting of Hillary's demograhpic with fake website, fake social media messages and esp in in MI, WI, PA, the three states that shifted to Trash after Comey's 2nd hit on Hillary.
In any case, Schumer is top of the Dem establishment that went with, and remains, with, the Bill/Hillary ThirdWay/NewDemocrat politics that abandoned the Dems' base in the lower 4 quintiles. Dems are the party BigDonor nearly as much as the Repugs.

White House Signals Acceptance of Russia Sanctions Bill
The White House indicated on Sunday that President
Trump would accept new legislation curtailing his authority to lift sanctions on Russia (https://www.nytimes.com/topic/destination/russia?inline=nyt-geo) on his own,
a striking turnaround after a broad revolt by lawmakers of both parties who distrusted his friendly approach to Moscow and sought to tie his hands.
the first time that Congress, with both houses controlled by fellow Republicans, has forced its will on Mr. Trump on a major policy matter.
But Mr. Trump found himself in a no-win position, as lawmakers eager to punish Russia for its interference in the election and its aggression toward its neighbors dispensed with the usual partisan divide.

Texas Dem party still has a long way to go in terms of getting its shit together, IMO, but there are a lot of talented people who are coming on board, and the party is getting ready to field a lot of candidates for the next election, those candidates will form the base of a new batch of people with campaign and hopefully governing experience.

Do you think Beto has a shot to unseat Cruz?
"A shot?" -yes
Beto has raised a fair amount of money, and the election hasn't begun. Based on some grumblings I have heard in Republican circles, it would also appear very possible that the deeply unpopular Cruz could face a primary challenge. Not enough information to estimate liklihood to a reasonable degree. I think he will face such a challenge.
As noted the state Democratic party is in what can be described as disarray. The GOP in this state is better funded, and better organized. This will be a handicap, but the current political climate is pulling in a lot of people in on the Democratic side, as noted, to address this disparity. This will take time, and certainly not be materially changed in time for the next election. Time frame for that is about 5 years.
That said "a shot" is different than "more likely than not". Cruz will probably survive a primary challenge, and probably defeat O'Rourke.
I currently judge his odds at 25-40%. If I had to value an option, I would stick to the median of that range.

The Congressional Map Has A Record-Setting Bias Against Democrats
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-congressional-map-is-historically-biased-toward-the-gop/
Even if Democrats were to win every single 2018 House and Senate race for seats representing places that Hillary Clinton won or that Trump won by less than 3 percentage points — a pretty good midterm by historical standards — they could still fall short of the House majority and lose five Senate seats.
This is partly attributable to the nature of House districts: GOP gerrymandering and Democratic voters’ clustering in urban districts has moved the median House seat well to the right of the nation. Part of it is bad timing. Democrats have been cursed by a terrible Senate map in 2018: They must defend 25 of their 48 seats1 while Republicans must defend just eight of their 52.
