View Full Version : James, Melo, Wade, CP3 to join Spurs?

Have you guys been reading all the rumors about this so called super friends and how they would love to play for Pop? Or how James wants Melo to have a ring? If we can somehow land CP3 I honestly think this may happen....is it all fake news?

LeBron leaving Cavs by 2018? CP3 and Melo starving for a ring, Wade unhappy with the Bulls..

Everything is falling into place. They all want to play together. Spurs can have the most capspace along with the best player in the league next summer. LeBron shares the same agent as Murray. If they clear space for Paul this summer they can get some decent picks with this draft class. They all respect Pop. I believe it's gonna happen. It all starts with Paul, and if Wade opts in for his final season with the Bulls then that may be another sign. LeBron already said he'd be willing to take a paycut to play with his boys. We shall see.

Doesn't matter, though, none of those guys would ever even consider playing in SA, other than maybe Paul..

Davis asked to be traded to Spurs earlier the season when Pelicans couldn't get a win. I think he will be knocking on the door when he gets a chance. He knows he has a chance to be a great player and even HOF with Kawhi, Pops and the Spurs, and never with the Pelicans

by then Wade will be more of a walking corpse than Manu was in those Game of Zones clips. At first I poo pooed this post (screw those old timers except for LBJ and CP3) but tbh I would love to have LBJ, then would like CP3 at a reasonable price and the other two if they wanted to ring chase ala David West I wouldn't despise having them on the bench unit.

I feel bad for all these posters melting down because the Spurs didn't make any major moves, tbh..what did you expect?:lol

I've been vocal about the strong possibility that the game has passed them by, but the meltdowns over not signing big names are comical..criticizing them for re-signing Mills or the loyalty contact they gave Parker is obviously valid, but you guys really expected Durant and Chris Paul to sign with the Spurs? You expect them to make moves for stars when they don't have any assets to trade?:lol

Nah, you're just playing both sides against the middle. You spent half your Saturday and Sunday morning explaining to people how star players don't want to play for San Antonio (no assets, bla, bla, bla- other teams have no problem trading away bad contracts) except when it's before the fact and for fear of being wrong, you'll argue that he'd consider San Antonio. To set the record straight, he in fact did not consider them. Don't let that PR spin about concerns over Parker and Aldridge fool ya. :lol

I will concede your take about OKC and Cleveland over mine. However, explain to me how Minnesota, who hasn't been to the playoffs since 2004, is suddenly a more desirable place play than San Antonio?

TBH it wouldn't bother me, CP3 had his chance to be a Spur and wanted a sign and trade to Houston. If LeBron wants to sign with Rockets and they want to assemble an all-star team to try and beat the Warriors fine. It just sucks for the Spurs but if it happens will be short lived.
