View Full Version : Cavs: What's next for the Cavs, tbh?

With no flexibility and paying a massive luxury tax bill on limited players, trading Love is probably the only realistic option..hopefully they aren't stupid enough to trade for Carmelo's fat, old ass, but they probably will, since Lebron is the GM and great players are virtually always terrible in the front office:lol

I'd move Love for a package of 2-way role players, tbh..they desperately need competent 2-way guys and a real backup PG to run the offense when Lebron goes to the bench..they could also trade their 1st round pick, as well..

Boston would die to have Kevin Love as the face of their franchise IMO..if you can get a package with Crowder and/or Bradley, pull the trigger..

Love for Melo would have been great for this season, imho. Melo would have thrived on his USNT role of third banana playing freely on an up tempo team. He would have been more useful than Love on the finals for sure.

For next season they need to see if there's a way of getting Butler, imho.

Won't matter because Lebron's leaving next year

There's no way Kevin Love can return and have the respect of anybody on his team.

Right now, it looks like another Finals loss is next.

Good for him that everybody already has him as a top 3/5 player of all-time then. :lol

Love can't be the "face" of any franchise. He's a 3rd option, and a poor one at that.

If he came to SA suddenly he'd be the greatest thing since Aldridge was the greatest thing, after Aldridge was the worst thing, but before he was the worst thing again.

Like the Spurs you go back with what you have, to-the-letter. Like Ivanka Trump said when faced with blithering scorn & deeds:::"put your head down and go to work."

It's easy to jettison your crew then you have a fresh excuse when it stays sideways. Much more difficult when you go home with who brung you---grab some jacks, some timbers and you start back down.

We'll see what the Cavs & Spurs are made of= Are they just squattin' on the plains of Cuyahoga County in the former OR tracking the POTUS on the latter?

You knew he was too leaky a vessel to take the point. That's where "Sgt. Saunders" would always set "Kirby" or "Little John." He never set the (new guy) there.

You don't have a hand holder anymore. Just a boat load of hands that need holding.

dont they still have larry sanders on their books?

get rid of thompsons contract and klove

its a perimeter league, u don't need bigs on huge contracts who negate whatever they produce cause it doesn't show up on the box score no impact players...hence todays bigs are all stretch 4s or have no low posts move, why spend a lot of money on a offensive big, just a tall big who can alter shots and take up a lot of space would do...

should be focusing on getting perimeter players who are 2way players that can defend and self create for themselves...doesn't need to be the best 2way players...just players who play on both sides of the court
