The comments by Spurs fans on there are cancer...
Churro eating idiots don't want Lebron because Kawhi is better off playing next to scrubs like Kyle Anderson, Dewayne Dedmon, Danny Green, and Lamarsha :lol

I think it can only happen this summer depending on LeBron wanting out, if we somehow convince the Bulls to agree on a 3 team trade sending Butler and whoever to the Cavs and we give Chicago Aldridge, Green, and whoever else beside Kawhi and Murray.

Yep. Any Spurs fan who doesn't want the best player in the world on this team, or who thinks "we need don't him" to beat GS, is quite simply a dumbass. If this team had or has any chance to add Lebron, you do it by any means necessary (anything short of trading Kawhi, obviously, which would never happen anyways).

Agreed. Those 2 together would be better than the 96 Bulls, easily.
We're in a superteam era now. These D-Leaguers and euro scrubs won't cut it anymore. Kawhi's prime is being wasted.

Lebron, Kawhi, CP3, Murray, Green, KA, Multinov and draft pick (Evans) with fillers would be a helluva team targeting 2018. Could take down GS no problem.
I expect Lebron to try to get together with CP3, Melo, Jordan, +/- Wade in LA. Not as good a team though and doubt it would get him past GS

We have Sea-Bass Ginobili providing us with true knowledge that leads to championships.

People keep mentioning the Lakers, but I really don't see it. They're full of young talent that is nowhere near ready to compete for a championship. If they got Paul George to sign with him, they'd have to give up major assets to make room for him. Plus, who then is their 3rd best player? An unproven 20 year-old Lonzo Ball? Lebron is almost 33 years old. He doesn't time to wait for these guys to develop. They would be worse off than his current team situation. Makes no sense imo.
Clippers make way more sense.
Let's get real. There isn't a group of three to four NBA stars that can beat the Warriors that doesn't include Kawhi. So it's either join the Spurs, hope Kawhi leaves, have another great two way player emerge to an MVP level, or lose putting together an expensive group of aging all stars.

LeBron won't be a free agent until next year, when the spurs will only have kawhi on a deal. They can rebuild that year around kawhi and James easily. If he wants. I dont thi k its far fetched either. LeBron always praised Cleveland when he was in Miami for a reason, he knew he was coming back. He does t give any other organization as much love as the spurs. Not even close.

If getting Lebron means losing Murray, you'd still do it. That long combo guard spot can be filled by a draft pick like Josh Hart.

I would agree with Max, except his premise is wrong. Kaffernick is not merely a victim of the situation. If he doesn't want to put his hand on his heart or whatever for the national anthem, then that's his choice. But he took it to an active protest scenario by taking a knee for the national anthem. And people legitimately see that as disrespectful.

Kap doesn't have a job because of $$. If he would take back up $$ etc he'd have a job...but he's asking for starter $$ or being highest paid back up..which he won't get cause of the distractions..
He's waiting for a an injury to a QB and hope to get a Bradford situation except.. instead of the team giving up a 1st theyll pay Kap Mike Glennon $

This shows Jalen making the case, too.
It makes sense for both sides, tbh.
CP3, Kawhi, and Bron could kill the Warriors almost regardless of who filled out the roster. And, as we've seen from the Bron Heat and now Durbeta Warriors, we shouldn't have much trouble attracting low-rent, aging-but-still-capable ring-chasing role players to fill out the roster (e.g., Vince Carter, Z Bo, etc.).
I could see LeBron playing 6-7 seasons in a Spurs uni to end his career and nab a couple more rings.

:pop: "He needs to get over himself first."
Pop and Lebron seem to have a pretty good relationship.
That's funny but not true. Lebron isn't a system guy. Teams around Lebron will play Lebron ball, which is mostly improvisational play. They do the basic high screen and roll but mostly it's iso ball from start to finish. They don't even need to break in new guys, just have them throw the ball to Lebron, Love or Irving. One of those guys will hit JR Smith if he's open, and TT will clean it up (like a good Kardashian should). Never see them run zone defense, never see them do any out of bounds plays that don't include Lebron doing something superhuman like full court passes or catching an alley oop from a half court pass.
The problem isn't that Lebron isn't with the right team, it's that Lebron is too good individually to think he needs the right team or coach. He can be successful at a high level doing what he wants.

But seriously who's been his best coach? Paul Silas?? Erik Spolestra?? He shoulder checked him and he was and still is Rileys whipping boy..
LeBron respects Pop the most because he's lost and Pop has made LeBron not feel or play like his dominant self..same can be said of Carlisle..
LeBron interest is that going to SA will extend his career which means more chances at catching Jordan..even though I think it won't happen..it makes total sense and is pretty fascinating thinking about lol

Your comment isn't very clear. Who is Riley's whipping boy?

I respect my dad. I don't want to live with him.

Lebron going to SA means a couple of things:
1. Lower career stats and season stats because of rest and ball movement
2. Sharing the spotlight with Kawhi Leonard, who according to ST doesn't need superstar help.
Lebron wants to be a billionaire. He won't do that in San Antonio where coach Pop gets the lion's share of credit now for team success. Lebron would have to go to the Wizards or Pelicans and get a ring for those respective teams to cement himself as the lord of the rings. For pure marketing reasons though, he has to be in LA or New York. If he could get New York to the Finals, he's golden.
I feel like Lebron is too high level a player to cheapen his career trajectory by jumping to a contender like KD did. Lebron will stay in Cleveland and people will come to him, I think. There's a rivalry already, and there's money in a rivalry. NY would be a better rivalry with Golden State since they are a huge market.

I would rather Kawhi beat him than play with him. But Kawhi really needs a second banana to help him out. LMA is not that guy.
