The Magic just traded Pasecniks to the Sixers for a future conditional first, and a future second.

Now the Spurs can dump Aldridge to the Sixers in exchange for Pasecniks. It's the circle of life.

Warriors didn't even have a pick in this draft and they still came away better than the Spurs :lmao

It'll probably look like that too because GSW is so good. They even make McGee look good.

Sucks to see the warriors pick the guy I wanted.

That's two years in a row of golden state paying cash to get players I wold like to see the spurs pick up by buying another pick.

Mccaw was one of two picks I wanted the spurs to draft last year. At least the spurs picked Murray who was my favorite pick though.

Rich getting richer. Sucks

No 59th pick is the worst in history. Those guys are two picks from being summer league invitees. I like this pick. He had a great Junior year and fell off some his Senior year. He is a fine gamble, which is all you are gonna get at 59.

59 pick, you're throwing darts. Broken darts. But they talk about him being a guy who could guard 3 positions in the NBA. He's either confident or a complete asshole, because he's been saying that he can do for teams what Iggy does. The fact that the Spurs took him, after saying that, means they at least don't think he's a total asshole.

Stick him in Austin and see if he floats.

I appreciate the fact that it's a 59 pick. I also assume they might have had another player or two in mind whose agents demanded the Spurs not pick them that late.

But it's a fact that RC and Pop have not hit even marginally on any American or NCAA product in the second round, ever, in what, 20 years?

But foreign second round? Manu, Scola, Nando, Bertans, possibly Hanga ...

Scouting foreigners in foreign leagues against grown men is probably easier to gauge the players than the lesser regarded NCAA players in the garbage, hard to watch NCAA game.

objective
06-22-2017, 11:46 PM
Just to illustrate:

Pop took charge of the front office in summer 1994.

Since then, he/RC have ultimately taken (not including players who were traded away on draft night), 10 total NCAA players in the second round (not counting Javtokas who had returned to Europe to play pro).

Those 10 players, COMBINED, played fewer games total than Nando De Colo, who only hung around the NBA as a back-up for 2 seasons.

And I mean fewer games than Nando as a Spur, not even including Toronto.

And fewer minutes than Nando his rookie year.
