I thought it would be a fun thread to observe and watch how fans treat the last years of both respective legends. Timmy, currently the greatest spur ever retired with not a single firework. Just classy. Took a huge paycut, sacrificed playing time, made Sure the season was about Kawhi becoming the guy and just generally shyed away from attention.

Timmy was never as "popular" as Manu relative to their success and Manu basically has a cult following.

It would be interesting to Watch the Contrast between Timmy's last year and Manu's retirement tour.

Timmy's last home game was empty in the first quarter.

Beluga whale fans preferred their burgers over respect

Man, was sad watching timmy's last game.

It didnt feel like he was appreciated.

I'm positive though Manu's retirment tour would be shown with better appreciation.

Moving the team will be the best thing ownership has done. The absolute disrespect shown here.

This was timmy's last game? Empty seats? I've seen division 2 matches with mpre noise than this.

Sad.

More apt comparison: David and Manu's final year.

The clear-cut second greatest Spur of all-time (arguably, the most important), the gifts, tributes and love given across the league at most of the arenas ... wondering if Manu will be treated anywhere near the same.

Wish we all would have had the opportunity to give that to Tim. He deserved every bit of it - and us not having that opportunity says a good bit about why he did.

I don't care if it's a farewell tour -- I just hope he plays well unlike Kobe who wanted the praise but tanked his team.

Tim would've hated any fanfare :lol. Greatest leader & teammate in history.

2-year contract incoming.

I can definitely see that - probably a player option in year 2

It will be a 20 year 250M loyalty family contract... with manu playing for the first 5 years, his brother playing for the next 5 and the twins playing for the last 10 years.

Manu isn't retiring. As long as as no one says "NO" to him, he'll play until he's 47

Tim didn't care enough to even stay in town to break up with us. He ghosted us.
