"An Ohio mother of four was scheduled to be deported on Tuesday after authorities discovered her immigration status during a traffic stop last month.

Beatriz Morelos, who’s lived in Painesville -- just east of Cleveland, Ohio -- for nearly two decades, was arrested for driving without a license last Monday, according to city records, which is when officials discovered that she had been living in the country illegally and turned her over to*Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Casillas was taken into custody immediately and later was scheduled to be deported to the Texas border state of Tamaulipas — one of the most dangerous places in Mexico. The kids, ages 4 to 12, are U.S. citizens and never have been out of the United States, her husband, Jose DeJesus, said.
"She doesn't have anybody in Mexico," DeJesus said. "Everything she owns, everything she has is right here. ... She is here to live the American dream."

"We know from experience that this is how things go," Dahlberg said. "They will drop her in the worst city, with no money, and say 'good luck.'"

Objectively, she broke the law.

Objectively, she is subjected to the penalty of said law.

Objectively, they are enforcing the penalty placed against her.

What's being done is nothing more than objective.

Subjectively, does it suck? Sure, but weighing your moral values against policy doesn't matter. Don't insinuate bigotry to Ducks or Dale because they are arguing an objective law. I stopped pointing out the bigotry of yuse guys harassing, mocking and being bigoted towards Chris and his Christian beliefs on a subjective level. But I will call out the never-ending hypocrisy of it all.

Blake's a bigot, as is most of the lot, sans RG and 21 generally, but thinks his political affiliation excuses it and gives him moral superiority. The fucking audacity and irony.

i get that deporting is following the letter of the law, and a deviation from that demonstrates a lack of principle and/or weakness, but you need to balance what is essentially ego with the human element of the story, imo

i'm all for immigration reform followed by stricter enforcement going forward, but deporting literally millions of people just isn't going to be practical, feasible, pretty, and to a degree, humane

I was walking along a beach when I saw a man picking up starfish and throwing them back into the ocean. A fool's errand. There were thousands of beached starfish. Why not just let you pay for the shit you stole after you're caught? Why not just let me buy a ticket after I've snuck into the concert? Why not just let me go get a prescription after I've been caught with a controlled substance?

You become a criminal when you enter illegally, whether it be the USA, a home, a property or anything else. That's what the "illegal" means. It's not a simple term that just means "tardy on filling out paperwork".

Move her in with you then, since being somewhere illegally is ok as long as you have anchor babies.

It sucks that some countries are shitholes, but the reason they move here is the same reason they have to go, because the rule of law governs the people here. We could make a hundred million exceptions and be Mexico 2.0. An unenforced law isn't really a law. Enforce laws or change them, that's the choices.

The results:
•The average deportation cost in 2016 was $10,854 per illegal.
•The average lifetime net fiscal drain for each illegal is $65,292. Net fiscal drain, according to the report, is taxes paid minus services used.
•The total lifetime fiscal drain of the assumed 11.43 million illegal immigrants living in the United States is $746.3 billion.

The report states that the immigration costs provided by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement do not include fees incurred by immigration courts.

Your M.O. is to casually dismiss everything with a dash of passive aggressive denial.

Why shouldn't the law be enforced? The burden of proof is on you, not on me.

I specifically asked you to clarify your point of "repercussions". You casually dismissed it because you're a lazy yellow belly.

Where did I say the law shouldn't be enforced?

I'm fine with enforcing the law. I want to see policy change.

Deporting a mother of 4 American citizens doesn't protect us. It's deplorable.

Are you suggesting I have the burden of proof that not enforcing the law has repercussions on case by case basis?

If the kids were born in Mexico too, would it be ok to send them back? Is it not ok to send any illegal aliens back? Should we not have a border?

You're obviously not fine with enforcing the law. You want exceptions based sob story.

I'm asking for the repercussions. I don't know how else to ask you for your list of reprercussions. I'm not sure why you're struggling with this request.

Yes, if whole family sneaked over, yes send them all back. Yes, it is okay to send illegal aliens back. I'm okay with a border and border patrol.

So you want the repercussions of not enforcing the laws on a case by case basis, like I said. That's not a reasonable demand. If you think there are no repercussions, why are you for enforcing laws?

If you sneak in an plant a garden on someone's property, you don't suddenly become a farmer. You are still illegal and you have to leave, but your crops can stay. She should have stayed out when she was deported the 1st time. Then she compounds the issue by driving without a license. If she rear ends someone, she has no insurance. She's breaking several laws, but that's ok for you because she has kids.

So whomever sneaks over can be sent back. She snuck over, she has to go back. They can go with her or stay here. Not an issue, family separate all the time. They knew it was coming, did nothing about it. 17 years to file for something, anything... nada.

Your position is indefensible.

Yeah...can't really deport a mom who has kids over here.

Here's what needs to happen. They make her pick one of her kids to send back. And switch her status to citizen and that kid's to illegal.
Chances are one of her kids was going to grow up to be worthless anyway. She'll probably have a good idea which one.

You hit the nail on the head with this paragraph.

The fact of the matter is retards like this are pure scum and entirely selfish. Why is everybody ignoring that? They know there's a risk of deportation, yet they still knowingly break the law when there's a strong chance they'll leave their kids hanging out to dry. But they keep having more minibeaners and expect a pity party when they're finally caught. The fact that she's already been caught, leaves me feeling absolutely zero remorse when maybe I had .000001 micrograms of remorse when I first read the story. Nobody made her shit out all those turds.

For whatever reason, especially in ghetto be@ner culture, they always make shitty decisions and then play the ":cry but Muh Kids!! :cry" get out of jail free card for every scenario. Their kids are always "precious angels" and we're supposed to excuse the crime just because. I don't understand that brainlet line of thinking. That you can have kid after kid and then knowingly put their lives at risk just seems so fucktarded to me that I can't even see what the opposing argument is. Blakeold's argument that we should just fine them and let them stay here is setting a weird, spineless precedent for trespassing. With that attitude, it's no surprise Jamal came over uncontested DET fateful day, tee hee

Bottom line is you trespassed, so you need to get the fuck out. Shouldn't have had kids but you're too self-centered so now they have to pay the price too. Sucks to suck, but they probably would have ended up in prison anyway with such a shitty upbringing

They are all Mexicans. Dad has a permit to be in the US, mom is a Mexican citizen. The kids got however many years of US taxpayer subsidized healthcare and education and likely food as well. The gravy train runs out. They can all reconnoiter in Mexico, it's not like they are being executed.

They were already being punished, hauled around by a mother who was running from the law, driving illegally, in the country illegally. They were being forced to harbor an illegal alien.
