Hey, Harden didn't win in 2015 is not because Curry's got a better record. And Harden didn't win this year because Westbrook's got better stats (arguable). It's because Curry and Westbrook, respectively, had better narratives.
For a supposed genius to complain about this now? You haven't seen the voting in the last 60 years? The MVP has always been about narratives.
I am not saying Westbrook should have won it, the candidates were relatively weak this year. I actually think the best two players in the 16-17 season were Durant and Kawhi, both Harden and Westbrook were stat-padding machines, with Westbrook taking the cake at the end.
