That game was lost on account of Murray's poor play down the stretch. Forbes missed the hail Mary final shot with a good look but Spurs were ahead and Murray wasted like 3 or 4 possessions in a row b4 that shot. Not that it matters bc it's Summer League but raybies reminded me of that game. Murray has a lot to learn and it starts in training camp with hopefully not a repeat of those performances from him and Pop just got his nemesis in camp.

I'm assuming that he is getting little enough to where he can still go to Austin, but it would not surprise me if the team is willing to eat Paul's salary if Perrantes plays well enough. Guys have penciled in Brandon Paul for rotation minutes when the reality is that we don't know. He might be Jimmer like cut in training camp, or even Ray MacCallum cut midseason for a vet, or Nico Laprovittola.

I suspect not all of the rostered guards are going to make it. I am thinking the surplus of guards has to be some fishing expedition of sorts.

I realize they are all mixed. Mixed is no problem with me. My lady is from trinidad. She's black and indian.

I thought it would be more insulting to call them mixed. Most black people in the south go by the one drop rule. If you are from mixed genes then you are considered black. I don't necessarily agree with that but the majority of black people in the south do.

Trace every white person back to their roots and 98% got some dark genes somewhere down the line.

It doesn't get the play that their foreign affinity does, but they have just as much of one for mixed players (obviously, some are both), yet unlike Duke, have somehow managed to escape criticism for targeting specific groups.

Though a sweeping generalization, clearly they view it as a best of both world type scenario: Get the requisite athleticism, without all the other stereotypical things.

I've barely been around the past month, but I don't recall a single post about Paul getting rotation minutes. Given his experience and physical tools to be a two-way player, expect him to be the fifth wing.

Think Forbes is a more likely cut/trade (no matter what he does, there is no long term role for him), but that probably only happens if Aldridge, Gasol or Lauvergne suffer a long term injury. Still, expect a non guaranteed, experienced big at training camp.
