I have to admit I took the family fleet & filled 'em/toppd 'em up/off on Day 1. Took all the gas cans too. Plastic, steel, a couple of plastic milk jugs too when they weren't lookin'. tee, hee.

Heard that. Ugh.

My long commute is a mixed blessing. Plenty of places to buy gas + large need to do so.

Full tank = four day supply.

It made talk radio here so expect runs and hoarding. I assume the undamaged refineries around Corpus could be up early next week, but we freaked out over bottled water last week, so....

It's fucked up out there. Lines down the road at every gas station that still has gas.

And most of these people on the road right now would gladly pay double for a tank of gas right now.

Filled up earlier and had to put in Premium because it was all they had. Stations running out of gas in the FW area.

starcrest/410

one generic gas station out, with price up from 1.95 to 2.29

the valero across 410 has gas but queue is into the street.

Well there wasn't a gas shortage. Now there will be

Yeah. I would guess stations like that have priority. Large enough to handle a rush.

Damn I paid $1.97 a gallon to fill up my tank last Thursday. Now it's up to $2.45 at that station and the lines are horrendous and spilling into the street.

So it sounds like there really is no shortage. People are freaking out and gas stations cannot refuel fast enough. And prices will skyrocket because of this.

Yup. The Valero and Tetco stations at Brook Hollow/281 are backing up traffic down the access road.

I've got half a tank in my vehicles. I'll probably wait for the rush to end and then figure things out. Wasn't planning to go out of town this weekend any way.

Yeah, I wanted to pick up something at Valero, but when I saw the traffic jam, I just turned around.

That is what it seems like. I filled up yesterday, because I was unsure what would happen, or how stable supplies would be.

City and State officials all making comforting noises about there being no shortage.

Yeah it's just a self fulfilling panic as everyone rushes to fill up at the same time.

I don't get shopping at ice houses tbh, they have nothing you can't get cheaper at the store unless you're looking for extenze pills or one of those yellow rose crack pipes.

I dunno. Was turning left off of I-10 at the McQueeney exit this afternoon and the Love Truckstop was turning around 18 wheelers because they were out of fuel. I doubt the truckers were panic buying.

Truckers aren't the only ones using diesel. I was just at the Valero in Bergheim and there was a line of about 20 diesel pickups. Guy said he had about 2000 gallons of diesel left, all the gas was already sold out. He said a tanker will be there to fill them up tomorrow just mass hysteria today.

Congrats on your gas !

You may have screwed someone else. And since you are clearly out and about during the day doing good deeds (never on a sports board in competition for the most repetitive comments) you will use it well.

I ain't taking chances. We get ours in a pipe line from Amarillo. Some screwball messed it up in the early 2000's. I forget the circumstance, but, it was a mess here for about a week.
