Is Parker still on track to come back and bail the Spurs out in the playoffs this year like he did last year against Memphis and in 2014 against Dallas?

I just hope he's healthy by the trade deadline.

Only if Lebron is coming the other way. Although I'd sacrifice 90 percent of STers along with Parker to get 2011-2015 Danny back.

It's a shame D-League caliber players peak at 26, tbh. Was hoping you were right that he would be good again after that LASIK surgery, or that 2 seasons ago was just an anomaly.

Like Patty Mills, Danny's best season was during a contract year. That's a shocker I know.

absolutely true, Parker has never been free agent and always renewed before.. my point still somehow remains, with end of contract at sight as far as I remember his production did not alter much same after signing an extension.

Winningest player of all time (min 1000 games), 4x champion, FMVP, only player to ever sweep Lebron, highest playoff scoring point guard of all time, top 6 MVP finish twice, top 12 4 times, led MVP race in 2012 before getting injured at the end of the season, Led the Spurs in assists for 16 years in a row and counting, while also leading them in scoring for many of those seasons, one of very few players to win a championship as the only All-Star and All-NBA player (2014) and by the way, led the team in assists throughout the regular season and playoffs (one of the greatest passing teams of all time) and also led the team in scoring throughout the regular season, playoffs, and Finals.

See, this is the kind of thing... There are already news of Tony in full contact drills and all we know is that Kawhi wasn't practicing or scrimmaging with the team but will be back "sooner rather than later"... Is Pop going to be honest about what is going on with Kawhi?

Great news about Tony.

Not sure why announcing Kawhi's status is so important that half the threads turn into Kawhi's injury thread. He'll be back when he's ready, simple. Whether the team say a week or 2 or a month or whatever is irrelevant. It's possible they're not sure either.

Good that Tony is progressing quickly. (Doesn't he always? Guys like Wolverine. Heals in 2 seconds)

Spurs' major injury concerns coming into the season:

Tony Parker: Now looking good.

Rudy Gay: Now looking very good.

If it weren't for the Kawhi thing we'd have to say Spurs have been fortunate.

TP should take rest of year off and comeback in January. Let Murray marinate in the rotation more.

Tony sees Murray doing his thang!! He has to comeback in order to get that next player coach contract!

In an ideal World Tony comes back in two weeks and takes a full month to be able to play over 20 minutes.
Then we remove Manu from the lineup for a month so he can have a month of in season rest and Tony takes up his minutes to regain his full game form.
