Ok, so the guy isn't the best defender but he still had some pretty nice words for Manu and Kawhi:

http://hoopshype.com/2017/09/02/toughest-modern-day-scorers-to-guard-nba-players-weigh-in/

When asked who the toughest players in the league were to guard:

JJ Redick, Philadelphia 76ers:

“I think Kawhi Leonard is really tough. Manu Ginobili still, to a degree, but Manu Ginobili circa 2009 to 2012 was such a monster. There were a few years where the Spurs were Manu’s team. He’d play like 28 minutes a night, but he’d average about 20 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds. I mean, he was a monster. He was essentially [James] Harden before Harden. Harden is now the modern version of Ginobili. Manu was tough. There are some guys who may be surprising – like J.R. Smith in New York was unreal. He’s still a good player, but that year he won Sixth Man of the Year in New York, he was tough. He’s still really good, but he was unbelievable that year. Down the stretch, I think he averaged over 20 points per game in the final months of that season. Kobe Bryant, of course. Dwyane Wade.

“Jamal Crawford is tough because he carries the ball every time he dribbles it, so you never know where he’s going or if he’s going to pull-up or drive. The refs have given him a life-time exemption on the carry rule (laughs). I’ve played against that guy or with that guy for 11 years now and I’ve seen one carry call! I can’t figure it out. I know he’s a regular guest on The HoopsHype Podcast, but I have to give him some shit.”

09-12 was Manu's team? Lmfao not surprised those were the dark years no one speaks of. He averaged 16/3/4 in 28 minutes during that span btw

He mention Danny Green and Kawhi were some of the best defenders in the league on the Lowe Post two years ago.

He also apparently has a man crush on J.R., he mentioned him as being one of the better shooters in the league about a year ago on some podcast.

I seem to recall J.R. Smith being putrid in the playoffs that year he went off in New York. I'm pretty sure it's the year Redick is talking about. I was watching him that season thinking that he's turned the corner and then he reverted back to his brick house ways in the playoffs.

JR Smith was one of the most talented kids I've seen in years coming from HS...He had crazy range with crazy athleticism for an 18 yr old. It's a shame he didn't get better coaching when he first got into the league..was a big fan of him in his younger days and kinda wish the Spurs could've had a chance to maximize his potential

Kawhi is unsurprising. Reddick basically has no chance against him; Leonard is too strong. Manu is a nice surprise. He was definitely Harden before Harden and without the ridiculous gamesmanship of the refs. Sure, Manu had his bad moments flopping on defense, but he never made a mockery of the game on offense like Harden does now.

Go gotta admit Kawhi was so far into the sale on that move he made JJ sign on the line that is dotted.

This is why your act is so pitiful and sad. Someone who actually plays compliments some other fellow players, and so you have to chime in with your tired loathing.

Reddick would have been a good Spur in the mold of Marco Bellinelli and Gary Neal (2 guard with lackluster defense, but elite off the ball movement and dead-eye 3pt shooting)

It was Porker's team from '09 to '12. Owned by the Mavs, destroyed by Nash and Dragic, outplayed by Conley, and killed by Westbrook. :lol

I hoped JJ would decide to go to the Spurs given his home in Austin, but alas, who can turn down a one year overpay? Maybe he'll play with the Austin Spurs in two years when he struggles to get a gig in the NBA.
