FBI Director Chris Wray said Thursday he has not detected "any whiff of interference" by White House officials — or anyone else — in the federal investigation into Russia's meddling in the 2016 election.
In his first public comments since becoming chief at the bureau, Wray also said he had confidence in Justice Department Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his office to "do the job" of investigating any Russian involvement in the 2016 election, The Wall Street Journal reported.
