I realize it's a shtick but this place is dead as fuck, at least he's trying to get something going. Ergo I was playing along.

He's still top 10 tbh, but probably won't be anymore in about 6-8 years.

Borderline top 13? I'm just going to assume that's a typo and you meant borderline top 1,300.

It's not just because the offseason, either...look at the quality of posters starting most of the threads and the same old regurgitated topics (top-10 lists, kobe threads, etc). This forum hasn't recovered from the Lakers, Mavs, and Suns being irrelevant the last several years. Those fans elicited real, visceral hatred from the gnsf. In another ironic twist the NBA Forum was at its best when we weren't talking basketball, but instead exploiting people's personal life mistakes (calf tats, naruto, etc, white pants, etc) and online meltdowns (CBF, phyzik, Jacob, etc). There were genuine moments of side-splitting laughter then, and authentic hatred between certain posters. Now we're stuck with these shitbirds, half of which migrated from upstairs and the other half who were pee-ons in the NBA forum that just filled the power vacuum left by the exodus of all the funny rival fans (and some solid BNSF's). This place has been taken off the chemo and radiation and is now in hospice

But you have to have a rivalry else you got nothing. The Spurs are as good now as they were with those prime guys (most of the time) if you only look at the W/L column and the playoffs. The difference is that the thrown together opponents each year aren't cohesive enough, long enough, to form any real rivalry or for any good alts to be created in their names.

Plus, the closing of registration didn't help. No fresh blood.

Spurs tying up the modern era Lakers ring count sated a lot of us, took the venom out of our veins. The Lonzo Ball era is promising, though. Already can't stand the bootleg Drake looking fucker and his loudmouth father. Just need Kool and Luva to go into hype mode and we're back.
