Flake also addressed the healthcare bill submitted by his Republican colleagues, Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, saying that he supports it as "a first step."

"There are 183,000 Arizonans who are paying the fine to the federal government because they can't afford care. Many of them, if not most of them, had insurance before the Affordable Care Act came along, [and] 80 percent are making less than $50,000 a year," he said.

"This doesn't fix everything with Obamacare. We're going to have to do that with a bipartisan bill. This is a first step," Flake said, adding that he's been in contact with fellow Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain, and that he's unsure if the former presidential candidate will back the legislation.

for the person to put me to sleep for 2 hours was 1500 for surgery most likely it was because his insurance is high incase he messes up and I do not wake up

that is the real problem with stuff if they lower cost of things insurance would get cheaper
also if people could sue but not get millions would help

person yesterday told me he had a digestive problem
doctor take these pills for life $1000 a month in USA
Canada $79 a month
mexico $49 a month
went to a natural path do not eat milk and cheese no problem

If a lack of health insurance was killing thousands of Americans every year, and the goal of the ACA was to save lives by reducing the percentage of Americans without health insurance, the clearest possible test of the success of the ACA would be a reduction in mortality. While there are some indications that the ACA did increase the percentage of Americans with health insurance, life expectancy has actually gone down, rather than up. Mortality – as measured by the age-adjusted death rate – increased 1.2%, rather than decreased due to more health insurance.

If you think not paying for someone's treatment is "killing them", then you're also killing them.

In all fairness, the late Depressionary and early Baby Boomer generations in American were/are the heaviest cigarette smoking generation groups in mankind's history.

You'll see average life expectancy spike into the 90s in 20-25 years or so after the smoking rate falls below 3% nationally... right now around 2/5 of the nation still smokes
