california already has strictest smog regulations, highest gas taxes, $10 of registration goes towards peoples pensions, etc..... i would say it's on pace for that 2040 ban

I remember that being such a pain in the ass, when I lived there. I had a '74 VW Beetle and, once a year, I had to put on stock carb and exhaust to pass inspection.

California must have figured out what they're going to tax the hell out of next since they won't be able to tax gas and pass illegal gas taxes every year for the Left's personal gain, if this is true.

Good lord...FUCK California. That just can't be said enough. God awful shit hole.

Actually California is doing a lot of things right.

One of which is tax hikes to pay for infrastructure. Something Republicans are to extremist these days to do, no matter how important the funding is.

And a top 5 broke state. Pretty fucking sad.

I came here in 09, into the Central Valley, which Time and CNN called the most economically stunted area in the country, highest unemployment rate, highest meth addiction rate, theft rate...basically Detroit West Coast...the fact we've been able to grow our business here is nothing short of remarkable, despite a really entitled workforce...

LOL, NO! This fucking gas tax was passed LAST year as well, UNDER THE SAME PREMISE- to pay for infrastructure and Ol Moonbeam was funneling it to his pet projects and buddies and people caught wind and now he's going for that same $35-$50 billion AGAIN. FUCK California, specifically the Democrats in Sacramento.

We pay a hefty state tax for our our infrastructure and we aren't seeing it, but every single year, guess who votes on giving themselves raises? The same crooks in Sac. Travis Allen is making major headway in having this shit repealed because it's fucking brazen theft. The Demos are batshit crazy and think no one is noticing. We're talking about a Governor who tried selling our farmland's water supply to the city of Los Angeles and make a "brokering fee" in the middle of an epic drought.

Again, FUCK California and FUCK the Demos in Sacto getting richer every year while the state dies a slow, miserable death. The summers are hot as fuck too, so now even the weather isn't a drawing factor. Frisco was hot as fuck this summer. The state is filthy. If you're not upstate in the Mountains or on a beach or a rich elitist, this place has nothing to offer you. So sorry, but FUCK California.

The problem is that the previous governors didn't make the hard calls, and undertaxed for years. Basically letting a lot of deferred maintenance build up, and the state goes to shit.

That is the Republican MO.

Keep taxes low, don't do the shit you are supposed to, then get voted out of office, handing the grown ups in the Democratic party the responsibility to fix shit that conservative extremist ideology caused.

Us Democrats have been cleaning up after stupid shit Republicans have been doing for almost a century now.

Sacramento is always hot.

SF wasn't hot at all this summer, except for 2 outlier days at the beginning of September.

Shit man, it was hot every time we went down there, and way warmer than past summers. Generally, I need a sweater on during summer days out there, especially in the evenings. San Jo- same story, although it's generally a little warmer in South Bay.

Either way, being here since 2010, it's gotten balls hotter every damn summer and much, much less rain. The mountains are always nice, but not a whole lot to do after a day on the lakes. Town populations of a few hundred to a few dozen doesn't make for a fun night life...or anything that isn't outdoor related.
